Tips from the EFT Website
- EFT for different aspects of a tarantula scare: Here's a good exercise in separating out the various aspects of a fear. This is often useful when using EFT for a phobia. Gratitude to JoAnn SkyWatcher for submitting it.
- Getting behind a successful EFT anger case: Stefan Gonick helps his client realize that long term anger isn't always justified. Sometimes (often?) it is based on irrational thoughts.
- 22 years of pain from degenerative arthritis gone after persistent EFT: Marlene Marion's client eliminates her severe pain after several sessions aimed at dealing with emotional issues. Notice how some of these emotions (and memories) were repressed and how Marion had her client make up an event from her past. This is an excellent method that I have used with impressive results.
- The mysterious vanishing growth on Marlene's dog: Here's a use for EFT that animal lovers will appreciate.
- Eric Robins, MD explains how a chronic pain expert links pain and unresolved emotions: Long time EFT'er Eric Robins, MD discusses the work of health pioneer John Sarno and tells us how emotions are a central cause for pain. We are quite familiar with that notion, of course, having reduced thousands of people's pain by collapsing emotional issues. Dr. Robins says, "Also, I'm sure it's obvious to you that some of the methods he [Sarno] was using to handle emotional issues are archaic compared to the speed and efficiency of EFT. We could be expected to get better results and faster with EFT, which is the best and fastest mind-body healing technique in clinical use in the world right now."
- Binge eating diminishes in 12 sessions after hundreds of hours in traditional therapy failed: Binge eating has many emotional roots, many of which are often outside the client's awareness. Listen in as Carol Solomon, PhD helps her client discover, and resolve, several such issues.
- How this therapist uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EFT together: This article by Harry Galina, PhD is designed for professionals who are familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Including the word “yet” may help clients push through the negatives: Here's a useful idea by Alexander Welch of the UK. It should be helpful to many.
- Pain and rash leave in 90 seconds for a 10 year old boy: Christine Moran from England skillfully helps a young boy in distress. At the end she says, Happy to have helped, I stood up and turned around. To my surprise I was faced with an awestruck audience of adults and children. They were open mouthed and fixed to the spot having watched in silence this strange technique and witnessed such an instant transformation. They all echoed, "How do you do that?"
