Today's Helpful Hint: If you are making unsatisfactory progress with a physical issue, look for emotional causes. Ask, "If there was an emotional cause for these symptoms, what could it be?" You could also ask, "When did you first notice these symptoms and what emotional issues might you have been confronted with prior to that time?" This will often take you into useful territory.
