Tips from the EFT Website

  • Men Only Want One Thing: In addressing the pain in Alice's ankles, it was became clear that her issues were very global and centered around love, acceptance, rejection and related issues. Her "men only want one thing" belief appeared to be a symptom of a much larger issue known as "I'm not lovable."
  • Dr. uses EFT to reduce lung congestion by 50% in minutes: Dr. Ed Leshin, a chiropractor and acupuncturist, gives step-by-step details of how he used EFT to give immediate relief to a difficult asthma case. Dr. Leshin also describes how he used EFT to get beyond his own allergic reaction to cologne.
  • EFT and Insights: Here is a question from a newcomer to EFT. She brings up an excellentpoint about clients gaining "insights" into their problem. Insights/cognitive changes happen with great regularity with EFT. You can hear them if you listen to how your clients speak about their problem before and after their session.
  • Skeptical Mom eliminates son's migraine headache: Paula Preston, like so many, was originally skeptical about EFT. After all, it IS a little strange appearing. This skepticism continued even though she had used it successfully on several issues. However, her "conversion" came when she applied EFT successfully to her son for his migraine headache.
  • Learning, intelligence and emotional static: It seems to me that just about everyone has some degree of emotional static in their learning process. For some it is quite severe while, for others, it is relatively mild. Most of us experience "blocks" in certain subjects and have difficulty thinking clearly when under stress. I suggest that a major contributor to the "degree of one's intelligence" is how much emotional static they are dealing with.
  • Fibromyalgia patient: I forgot what pain is all about: Janet was in nearly constant pain from her fibromyalgia and had been tapping sporadically for her specific pains for 3 or 4 weeks prior to the conference. At best, she would get temporary relief for an hour or two. But then the pains would come back. I chose to ignore the pains during our session because, to me, fibromyalgia (and most other physical ailments) are merely bodily manifestations (symptoms) of unresolved fear, trauma, rejection, anger, guilt and other emotional causes.
  • EFT and self image: Poor self image could be categorized as the number one emotional problem in this country (world?). Just about everyone has it to one degree or another. That's why self esteem seminars are so popular. Everyone wants a better one. This case on the enhancement of self image contains a follow up by the client herself. As you will see, this use of EFT generates impressive results when applied persistently.
  • An EFT "Pre-Beginner" reports success: Here's a moving success story I thought you would both enjoy and learn from. This article is the first in our collection from Deborah Mitnik, who, at this point, had not even received her EFT videos yet. She got these results using only a brief introduction to EFT, but went on to write many case histories for our newsletter over the years.
  • A Self Administered Approach to Addictions: As we see with some regularity, an underlying cause of addictive behaviors is the need to tranquilize a form of anxiety or unrest that comes about from unresolved emotional issues. Here is the story of "Joan", an EFT beginner, who handled an impressive list of addictive cravings with EFT.
