Thought for the Day: "In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy." Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine

Today's EFT Quote: I'm an RN and CHT, and have been practicing EFT for only a couple of months (if that!)... yet have had GREAT results with family, friends, and patients. Barbara Heffel

Today's Helpful Hint: One trait of masterful EFT Practitioners is the tendency to test their work before assuming they are done. For example, have the height phobic look off the top of the tallest building in town ... or ... have the trauma victim repeat a graphic sentence like, "There was blood all over the place and I can still hear those constant screams" ... or ... ask the headache sufferer to shake his or her head ... and so on. If any of these tests show residual problems then you have more to do. This is important to know. Otherwise, your work is incomplete and your client has been shortchanged.

Featured Article #1: Removing the blocks to your goals with EFT:  AnaMaria Herrera shows how our inner blocks keep us from achieving goals and then displays a way to use EFT to put these blocks aside. Students of our Palace of Possibilities discussion will recognize these blocks as the "tail enders" that occur after we use positive affirmations. Email AnaMaria and Visit her website

Featured Article #2: EFT, gratitude and sleep:  Anyone can benefit from being in a state of gratitude, especially when better sleep is one of the rewards. In this well written article, Carol Solomon shares her wisdom on this subject. She says,"Practicing gratitude has been shown to enhance health and wellbeing. In research studies, people who are asked to incorporate a daily gratitude practice report fewer health complaints and fewer symptoms of physical illness. They feel more joyful, optimistic, connected to others, and more positive about their lives as a whole." Visit Carol's website

Featured Article #3: Ten minutes of EFT erases a severe cat allergy:  Cat allergies are quite common and can be very severe. As Chuck Frank's client says, "I didn't know you had a cat, I've got really bad allergies and my lungs close up, my eyes get blood red and it feels like my eyes are being cut by razor blades." Email Chuck and Visit his website

Featured Article #4: A clever combo of EFT and Essences:  Elly Yule from the UK combines EFT with flower and other essences. In this article she makes progress with a nearly catatonic client using a clever combo. She says, "I selected the bottle I felt she needed and gently pressed it against each of the EFT points and went through the whole sequence, softly talking (almost whispering) through the statements at each point." Tips from the EFT Website

  • Jason's motion sickness: Darlene Wade details for us a recent success story on motion sickness which I think will get your attention. After addressing a few aspects in the session, she sent Jason home in the car, armed with a picture of the tapping points. As his mother reported after the drive, "it was like he returned to where he was prior to the motion sickness and promptly complained about his siblings taking his balloon as if nothing had happened!"
  • When pets have to pee: Here's a quick story from Michelle LaPrise on how she helped her cat through a common, yet usually expensive, problem. As she describes "My kit-kat Junior has a problem common among male cats whereby his little plumbing gets blocked every so often and he can't pee." and later..."After one round, Junior stood up and walked off the carpet, leaving a huge puddle of you-know-what behind him. I was blown away."
  • A bridge for Dr. Fred's beliefs: "Dr Fred" has been friend of mine for many years and asked to spend the night at my house while on his way to Oregon. He confided in me the details of his many physical ailments and his lifelong angers, rigidities, guilts, shame and I listened patiently as Dr. Fred told his story. I knew I could help but I also knew that he would be resistant to this "Eastern tapping stuff." I didn't want to limit the process to a quickie round or two on some immediate issues. Instead, I wanted to get to core issues which, of course, would require his active involvement. So I looked for an entry point in our conversation that would bridge between his belief system and EFT. Here's how it went.
  • Phantom Limb Pain: Frank Trupiano shares with us a successful use of EFT for an amputee. Phantom limb pain has been a mystery to the healing professions for a very long time and it is only recently that we are finding ways to relieve it. I thought you would find Frank's experience of interest.
  • Using EFT on past life issues: To some, this touching message from Cecil McGregor about tapping for past life issues will be "right on." To others, it will be "hooey." Unfortunately, neither side of the table can completely prove or disprove the existence of past lives. Whatever their true origin, tapping on the issues brought about substantial personal relief.
  • Low libido: Jeni Jones was trying to use EFT to help a client of hers with low libido. The tapping was apparently "not working" for this lady until Jeni got down to some very specific aspects (this is frequently the best avenue to take). As might be expected, there was substantial sexual trauma in the client's history so digging up specific instances was not difficult to do. Jeni had more sessions with her client and found that being specific led to success where, previously, EFT "wasn't working."
  • We saw the swelling subside in front of our eyes.: Catherine Driscoll brings to our attention some surrogate tapping experiences with dogs--one of them quite dramatic. I asked her why dogs seem to respond so well to surrogate tapping and she told me, "Animals are VERY responsive to energetic therapies, such as acupuncture, homoeopathy, Bach flower remedies, etc. As dogs are very much ruled by feelings, I guess they respond well to energies ..."
  • Athletic injuries and other things: Sam Smith writes from Australia with several EFT experiences. The one you should probably pass by and ignore (chuckle) is the one having to do with the relief for his leg and back cramping. I mean who cares if an athlete (soccer player in this case) is incapacitated with an injury? Life goes on, eh?
  • Food repulsion: Green furry things and yucky tomatoes: Deborah Mitnick offers a helpful application of EFT for anyone living with picky eaters. As she describes her son Jonathan's experience, "he's been a "pain" to cook for because he has always avoided "green furry things," such as peas and lima beans." After two rounds of tapping on "green furry things", she reports, "it was gone. Zero. No intensity. And he was curious. He picked up his spoon and gingerly fished a lima bean out of the soup bowl."

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. Further, Gary Craig is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and as a personal performance coach. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT.
