Thought for the Day: "The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude." Friedrich Nietzsche
Today's EFT Quote: I need to express my gratitude for making your training DVDs available. Every time I work with them I realize new powerful subjects. The advantage of the videos is that important subjects can be watched repeatedly. In my opinion this is a factor which very often is being underestimated. While participating in a seminar the mind captures only certain things, since our mind has the tendency to "to file away" the rest. Watching the videos over and over again brings up things that have been "forgotten" or that one only "hears" when time and person is "ready". George Matthews

Tips from the EFT Website
- Lori Laskowski's broken nose: Accolades to Lori Laskowski for bringing her nose to my Cleveland training. She fell and broke it 7 or 8 years ago and has had several surgeries on it since. Despite many efforts at correcting it, one of her nasal passageways remained partially blocked. It's important to notice in this case that while we tapped on her physical symptom, we didn't get very far. However, once we addressed possible emotional drivers to the problem, we made noticeable headway. It was never that EFT "didn't work." It was that we hadn't found the proper avenue yet.
- Tinkie said, "I don't fit in": The EFT Course recommends that we "be specific where possible" when addressing a person's issues. But what do you do about cases where the client presents a bothersome global issue (such as "I don't fit in") and, upon recalling related specific events, isn't really able to bring up any current intensity? Can we still address the problem? Of course we can. The following session with "Tinkie" demonstrates how.
- Intense back pain and numbness: Larry Stewart, D.C.H., a newcomer to EFT (about two months), reports this instructional experience with his wife's back pain. As Larry reports, "About 15 rounds of tapping and we had her to a 1 on the pain, 0 on the numbness in the big toe, and 2-3 on the smaller toes... I'm convinced EFT helped, at least to relieve the neuro-muscular tension that accompanies the injury."
- Lactose Intolerance: This experience is reported by newcomer Larry Stewart, D.C.H. Shirley (Larry's wife) has had severe lactose intolerance for over 10 years. However, after Larry helps her with a few minutes of EFT she is able to eat all kinds of milk products with no problem whatsoever.
- Tapping brought us closer and made me understand: Deborah Mitnick shares with us an insightful, warm and spiritual case involving her mother. Deborah is one of the most dedicated students I have found in EFT. She has watched ALL of the EFT videos SEVERAL times and has digested them as a treasure chest of procedures, phraseology and approaches. One can do great work with the EFT mechanics, of course. But those who take the time to truly study the "art of delivery" are the ones who rise above the pack and become the masters in this field. So here's Deborah's message. Please notice her ability to discern the underlying issues and her artful use of phraseology.
- But it doesn't work for me: "Madeleine" is not a therapist. She studied EFT on her own and diligently applied it to her own issues. The result??? Nothing. She made no discernible headway on her own issues but kept hearing of the quality results others were getting--even non-therapists like herself, and she was quite frustrated. Read the full story for helpful guidelines that you can use "when EFT doesn't work".
- Her sinuses opened like a floodgate: Sometimes we see some truly dramatic physical changes in people as they clear emotional issues with EFT. I've seen wheelchair bound people stand up and walk around. I've seen people's vision suddenly become clearer . I've seen people effortlessly lift their arms over their heads when previously it was painful to lift their arm just enough to apply underarm deodorant. In correspondence with Ken Botwinick I learned of yet another physical relief related to emotional clearing. This one had to do with his client's sinuses. He wrote it up for us--including A follow-up. Here is his message.
- Computer mouse dyslexia: Ken Botwinick reports on a client with a unique form of dyslexia. There are many ways to proceed when we don't get immediate relief with EFT. Ken chose to do some physical/mechanical things and noticed a little more headway. My leaning is to go for underlying emotional issues EVEN WHEN THE ISSUE APPEARS TO BE PHYSICAL. I do this with great regularity and often experience success. Here is Ken's account of his session.
- Balance problem, corns and autism: Here are a few more items for our "How do you explain this?" list.
