In the general sense, it is a foundational goal of most emotional therapy practices. Fortunately, with EFT, efforts to reframe "land" much better than with conventional means. Tips from the EFT Website

  • EFT clears eczema.: Tam and Mair Llewellyn-Edwards from the UK share, as a team, their EFT experiences for both physical and emotional issues. In this message Tam gives details on how EFT was used to clear eczema. Those who have been battling this condition may wish to print this out and show it to your physicians.
  • Insight--I'm terrified I'm going to be like my father.": Dr. Patricia Carrington unravels a complicated case using both The Tearless Trauma Technique and her own Alternate Phrase Technique. As she describes,"It seemed as though we were just tying up some final loose ends in preparation for ending her therapy when along came one of those "last minute wonders" that sometimes occur just when a client is ready to leave for good."
  • A skeptic uses EFT for burn relief: Almost all of us have accidentally burned ourselves and then waited for the inevitable blisters and prolonged healing time. We apply ice, ointments, hypnosis, mental distractions and anything else we can think of to reduce the ongoing pain. Fortunately, EFT is often useful for pain control. While we don't have 100% success, it is usually worth the effort. In this article by Dr. Carol Look, notice that, despite the rather dramatic results involved, the client still had a hard time attributing her pain reduction to EFT. This "APEX Effect" is still common but, as these procedures gradually gain acceptance, we are seeing less and less of it.
  • Miscarriage and the recall of core issues: An important feature of EFT is the clients' spontaneous recall of important core memories. Sometimes just tapping on presenting issues and simply listening to the client will reveal the foundations beneath deep rooted issues. It's as though protective surface layers are peeled away, thereby exposing the raw onion underneath. Tam and Mair Llewellyn (from the UK) illustrate this phenomenon with Mair's recent experience with "Viv."
  • A pain in the feet: This is a case of "semi-success" from which we can all learn. As usual in workshops, I had each member of the audience locate individual physical issues and then tap for them as a group. Dennis tapped for "this foot pain", but several rounds later, he reported no success. His foot pain hadn't budged. As you know by now, my next step is to look for emotional contributors to this problem. So I began with one of my favorite questions and here is how the conversation went...
  • Business owner moves his business to the next level: Steve Wells specializes in the business area in Australia. Business owners are just like the rest of us in that they have many doubts, pressures and self-imposed "limits" which tend to inhibit their progress. Steve expertly takes us inside the successful unraveling of a businessman's "blocks" to progress.
  • Gout sufferer dances a jig without pain: We often see arthritis pains subside with EFT (not always, though) but, until now, I have not heard of any specific experiences with gout. Fortunately, an interesting gout case (with an apparent cure) was encountered by Tam and Mair Llewellyn-Edwards of the UK during an EFT workshop in Ireland.
  • Fresh grief and a double benefit: Ann Adams touches us with a tender story about "Joan" and an early experience with tapping. In this case, healing was accomplished for both the healer (Ann) and the healee (Joan). That, to me, is the ultimate aim of proper healing.
  • No more "conversations in my head": Did you ever have some aggravating circumstance (or person) in your life that tended to consume much of your "thinking space?" This is counter-productive, of course, and the resulting "conversations in our heads" serve only to soak up our energy and purpose. Such unnecessary (and often expensive) distractions can often be relieved with EFT, as Dr. Carol Look so clearly describes in her message.

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. Further, Gary Craig is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and as a personal performance coach. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT.
