Tips from the EFT Website

  • How do I know the right words to say when I'm tapping?: David Lake, MD (from Australia) takes us on an insightful and creative journey into the language possibilities within EFT. Please note his innovative method of magnifying the issue (from both positive and negative directions) while tapping. I've done this myself many times (you will see it on our DVDs) and it often produces substantial cognitive shifts, belief changes, new perspectives and the like ...
  • Pain Control--Parts I & II: These articles on pain control are offered to us by Tam Llewellyn-Edwards from the UK. They give clear evidence of the use of EFT for one of the world's most prevalent needs--the management of pain. Who among us doesn't know several people with consistent pain?
  • Using EFT for fertility: Mair Llewellyn-Edwards of the UK gives us her professional insights into the subject of infertility. To those who experience it, infertility can be an all-consuming problem abounding with tendencies toward inadequacy and self-doubt. Fortunately, it often has emotional causes that lend themselves nicely to the EFT procedures.
  • Using "Set up" emphasis for gout and other stubborn issues: Stubborn issues that persist even with several applications of EFT can often be relieved with (1) more persistence and (2) repeating the setup and reminder phrases with emphatic and loud emotion. This is shown quite clearly in Tam Llewellyn-Edwards' use of EFT on his own case of gout.
  • Neck pain relief after finding the emotional core issues: In recent correspondence with Catherine O'Driscoll, my friend from Scotland, she sent me this important EFT experience. It is one of those cases where conventional healing practitioners had difficulty even labeling the problem. Relieving it, of course, was considered impossible. This is not just an "EFT does it again" story. It goes beyond that by illustrating the following fine points in the "art of delivery ...
  • Scald pain relief, trigeminal neuralgia, sea urchin spike, menstrual pain, trembling absent minded surgeon, jealous lover: Sandro de Rosa, MD, is an Italian physician and proficient EFT'er with several years experience. I thought you would be interested in some of his brief case histories. They should make an excellent addition to your "Try it on Everything" file.
  • An uncontrollably sobbing client--"My mother didn't love me": Sometimes a client will exhibit major emotional pain (tears, anger, anguish and the like) at the mere thought of a troubling issue. While no one welcomes pain like this, it is often a blessing for EFT'ers because, at that moment, THE CLIENT IS OBVIOUSLY TUNED INTO THE ISSUE. What better time to start tapping? This case begins with a very global issue and offers at least one option for moving through it toward something more specific...an incredibly useful tool when the core issue has been buried for most of a lifetime.
  • Using EFT for severe mental retardation: This is a vitally important contribution by Dr. Patricia Carrington because it shows, in clear terms, the value of EFT in the most challenging of circumstances (severe mental retardation). Pat engagingly describes the use of EFT on "Anita" by Sandi Radomski in a way that allows us to truly appreciate the healing steps. The procedures involved include EFT as well as Pat's use of "Choices" which, as it turns out, was instrumental in bringing Anita some much needed benefits.
  • When a prisoner won't disclose the issue: Rehana Webster is an expert in applying EFT in the New Zealand prison system. As you might appreciate, prisoners often feel such pain, guilt, fear, etc. about their issues that they don't want to discuss them with anyone. Rehana provides us with a creative solution to this problem as she describes a session with her prisoner/client, "HP." As you will see, her method achieved success. Her idea isn't limited to prisoners, of course. It is applicable whenever a client doesn't want to verbalize their problem.

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. Further, Gary Craig is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and as a personal performance coach. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT.
