Today's EFT Quote: "EFT is "The Miracle Drug WITHOUT THE DRUG!" Pat Farrell

Today's Helpful Hint: If EFT appears to be "not working," try doing the Setup portion of the procedure with GREAT VOCAL EMPHASIS .... even YELL it. Sometimes this extra emphasis is all it takes to achieve success. The example of Richard on our EFT-Beyond the Basics DVDs (formerly Steps toward Becoming the Ultimate Therapist) illustrates this beautifully. For many years he had a stomach disorder for which EFT did little or nothing ... even with several months of intermittent tapping. I had him YELL the Setup phrase and then proceed with the EFT sequence. In moments, the stomach disorder faded. It was still gone when I followed up with him several months later.

Tips from the EFT Website

  • There's something lacking in my career: A thank you to Dr. Alexander Lees (from Canada) and his client "Janet" for this useful case about how to approach a difficult-to-define issue. Some clients define their problem with intangible terms that are too global for efficient resolution, and thus challenge EFT'er to find the underlying issues. Those of you who have studied Alex's previous cases on this email list are already aware of his expertise in using effective language to unearth such problems. This case is no exception. Please note how he takes Janet from "There's something lacking in my career" to "I'm not allowed to be good enough." This is an important step.
  • Using EFT to improve motor skills: This article by Dr. Patricia Carrington has wide reaching implications. I say that even though its focus is on a seemingly narrow application--learning to drive. However, the same approach that is used for driving skills can also be used for sports, music and other performance improvements. The uses are endless and the beauty of it is that you can use EFT to enhance a given skill and GET INSTANT FEEDBACK as to your progress.
  • Dying gently: All professionals and active EFT students will want to print out and save this article by Deborah Mitnick. She blends two "dying experiences" for us into one article that gives us several uses for EFT as well as other elements of "human touch." To give this subject its proper due, Deborah created a much longer than usual message for our eyes. Thus it is complete and well worth a place in your library.
  • Surrogate tapping on a sneezing attack, successful use of EFT on a raspy throat AND arm wrestling using only two fingers: Gwenn Bonnell is one of those masterful EFT'ers who, without formal credentials, has learned to make EFT sing. She has become a very popular and successful EFT workshop presenter in Florida and has now been on radio twice to discuss the merits of this procedure. In this article, she shares three creative uses of EFT.
  • Newbies experience EFT for insomnia, itching and deafness: In this article, Jean Akin and Veronica Campbell share their success stories as newcomers to EFT. I thought their stories would be of interest to you and to any of those "doubting skeptics" you may come across.
  • Rapid relief for a smoking addiction: Addictions often take persistence and skill to unravel because there are usually many emotional contributors to deal with. Sometimes, however, we get a pleasant surprise and the addiction goes away cleanly with little or no withdrawal. I've experienced this on occasion and it is a delight to behold. A thank you to Valerie Whiteley for providing us with such an experience regarding a smoking addiction ...
  • 30+ years of depression gone in 2 minutes: Acupuncturist Lee Beymer provides us with an example of a "now you see it, now you don't" cessation of depression. Even though we don't always get these rapid results, EFT'ers who deal with depression see this happen with some frequency. It's a real heart warmer every time it happens.
  • Getting to reasons behind vertigo: Listen in on this valuable coaching session with Laurie. She was working with a client who suffered from vertigo or dizziness, and had gone as far as she thought she could go. During this call, she quickly learned how to move past the physical aspects of her client's vertigo, and not only consider emotional causes, but create some ways to open those doors. This is probably the most valuable skill in applying EFT, and is relevant to almost any case.
  • A self administered approach to addictions: Here's an interesting approach regarding addictions that you may wish to try. As we see with some regularity, an underlying cause of addictive behaviors is the need to tranquilize a form of anxiety or unrest that comes about from unresolved emotional issues. Until we get down to the underlying emotional drivers, the addictive behaviors merely shift from one form to another.

Further, Gary Craig is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and as a personal performance coach. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT.
