Launching our new Practitioner Listings: As previously announced, we are starting anew with the EFT Practitioner listings on our website. All past listings have been removed and the door is now open for practitioners who meet our more rigorous requirements to re-list their practices. Please note that the referral fees have been temporarily waived and that both Certified and non-Certified practitioners are able to list. We expect this dual-listing to exist for about a year. After that, we will list only Certified practitioners. Review requirements and re-list your practice.
Those wishing to seek the help of an EFT Practitioner can view the listings here. Note that there are very few listings now but over the next few weeks many more should appear.

She sets the stage regarding her cat's specific fear by saying, "In the past, when I went into the bedroom and opened the dresser where the dreaded hair dryer lives, she [my cat] would leap off our bed in absolute panic, even if she had been asleep, and fly out of the room as fast as she could." Forms of this mis-reporting happen in many facets of EFT and an understanding of this phenomenon is important for serious EFT students. Email Debbie and Visit her website

Tips from the EFT Website
- Being bullied, sleeping with the lights on & fear of spiders: Working with children can often present opportunities to work with parents and other siblings as well. By suggesting that the parents and other family members learn the basics of EFT, they can help their children resolve their issues, and usually end up with some benefits of their own. Family tapping...it could be a new trend.
- A "One Session Wonder" for quitting smoking: Dr. Alexander Lees of Canada leverages off of his client's beliefs in order to provide the necessary "mental set" to stop smoking. Please note how Alex describes his client's sense of pride for winning (a form of perfectionism) and then professionally combines that need with EFT for a successful "one session wonder" on smoking.
- Migraine success with a Theater Mom - "Too many people in my head": This excellent article by seasoned EFT'er Maggie Adkins clearly demonstrates the "Art of Delivery". She expertly addresses the core emotional issues for a "Theater Mom" with too many demands on her time.
- Surrogate tapping and its effect on depression: One of the most stubborn issues we have seen, depression often includes extreme psychological reversal, and can be very difficult to resolve. However, by combining a surrogate approach with persistent, daily tapping, one mother was able to make a difference for her troubled daughter.
- "Monsters", fear of falling as a gymnast and basketball free throws.: Here are some examples of using EFT with children from Denise Wall. It's important to point out, especially with the gymnast, that she focus on the fears, or negative aspects, of the gymnast's performance to get her results. By contrast, many performance experts believe in using only positive affirmations, but we have found that the fears, self talk, or "yes, but's" will persistently undermine any positive affirmation until they are tapped away.
- Following up on a 30 pound weight loss: Dr. Carol Look is a specialist in both weight loss and addictions (they have similar core issues). In this article, Carol describes the progress of "Mary" as she successfully loses 30 pounds. Not only does Carol emphasize the use of client homework but she also goes for the emotional drivers behind Mary's overweight condition.
- Louella: Depression, pesticides and low blood sugar: This is an involved case of depression that I am pleased to have been a part of. It is worthy of study because it points out the values of persistence as well as the vital role nutrition sometimes plays. As you will see, what someone eats or drinks can literally cause depression.
- Pet grief, school (math) performance and cursing/anger: Thanks to Linda Compton for sharing these three cases on EFT with kids. Pay particular attention to the third case in which Linda gives an excellent example of establishing rapport with a kid who could have been really difficult. We have found that having rapport is one of the most important factors of successful EFT with kids, and it isn't always easy.
- Using the client's cravings to enter into addiction and overweight cases: During one of her workshops, Carol used EFT on some attendees' immediate food cravings and then skillfully moved from there into the underlying emotions behind those cravings. To me, this is an ideal entry method into the real causes for most addictions and overweight problems. It is, of course, those unresolved emotional issues that drive the anxiety and emotional unrest that beg for tranquilization via food or other substances.
