Want to help spread EFT worldwide on a 2 for 1 basis AND get a tax deduction? A critical path to getting EFT accepted worldwide is to provide validating scientific research. Until we do this, hospitals, schools, the military, etc. will drag their feet through the academic cement asking, "Where's the scientific proof?" Academia is the gatekeeper to these institutions and no one is getting through the gate without the expensive "science key."
Fortunately, Dawson Church and Soul Medicine Institute is taking on this task and over a dozen research studies are currently underway. As expected, the preliminary results are spectacular. However, to complete these studies costs LOTS of money ... and the piggy bank is rapidly depleting. If you only donate to this effort, your money will go twice as far as any other donation you can make. Why, because for every dollar you donate, I will match it up to $25,000. That makes each of your dollars work twice as hard and you get a charitable tax deduction as well. Further, where else can you donate and provide as much good as spreading EFT worldwide. It dwarfs any other charitable effort. Donate here.

Today's Helpful Hint: For disbelieving EFT newcomers it helps to "build a bridge" to their belief systems. An effective way to do this is to build on their existing beliefs with language of the general form.... "EFT is like [what they believe in] with the addition of [an EFT feature]". For example, if you know someone who believes in hypnotherapy you could say, "EFT is like hypnotherapy but with the addition of an important body element." You could also be creative with the language and say something like,"Chiropractors like to use EFT because it adds an important emotional element." Note how it builds from an existing belief. Use your imagination. You can build a bridge from EFT to almost anything else with this language pattern.

Featured Article #2: The Emotional Scale in EFT Practice: Christine Sutton and Philip Davis from the UK have designed an "Emotional Scale" that readers may find useful. They say, "We thought you might be interested in our recent experiences with applying the Emotional Scale to EFT practice. We have found that it is a really great way of highlighting to clients just how far they have come along the healing pathway during one healing session or over the course of several healing sessions." She says,"Upon looking at the rest of her life from this new perspective, a number of the smaller bothersome aspects suddenly made sense to her. She realized she was switching back and forth between the two sides of her brain depending on whether she needed to be tending to her husband or household needs (which she also enjoys) or doing her art." Tips from the EFT Website
- Angry teenager: I find that EFT complements homeopathy in that it often works in areas where the homoeopathy either is ineffective or difficult. This case study is such a case and although it is presented as a case study in EFT, both therapies were used to bring a successful outcome.
- Migraine headache case:"At first, I found no change"
- We are babes crawling on the floor of the Universe: In reviewing the EFT-Beyond the Basics DVDs, I came upon this phrase by Dr. William A. Tiller, Stanford scientist and expert on intuition and intention."There's so much. We've hardly scratched the surface. I think we're hardly babes crawling on the floor of the universe. There's so much which we will unfold in time." Dr. Tiller was speaking, of course, of our true potential and all those abilities we have that transcend the capacities of conventional science to explain.
- Courtroom anxiety AND anxiety about calling employers: Dr. Carol Look gives us an up close look at two intense anxiety cases. As she describes, "I treated a woman who was in the middle of a custody battle over her four year old daughter... Another anxiety case involved a woman who was having heart palpitations, sweaty palms, shortness of breath and overall anxiety because she was about to make a call to prospective employers. " Here's how Carol handled it.
- Dyslexia and learning disabilities: In this article, Steve Wells illustrates his use of EFT with learning disabilites, and points out that it is not a substitute, but rather a powerful complement to proper instruction. "I have done heaps of work with "dyslexia" over the past 12 years...[and] have used EFT recently with a couple of kids in conjunction with appropriate instruction with great success."
- Fitting EFT within the client's belief system: Below is a backchannel response I received from one of our Members, Irene Schoenfeld, that emphasizes quite nicely the importance of introducing EFT so that it fits within the client's belief system. Notice in the first paragraph her characterization of EFT as a Symptom Management System instead of a cure AND her thoughts about "underpromising" results. Also notice in the second paragraph how she listens to the client and gives him what he feels is necessary in his terms.
- Current "in your face" anxiety and stress case: A thank you to Robyn Wood for this anxiety/stress ridden case. I think it is particularly useful because it depicts a client undergoing CURRENTLY stressful inputs. I stress the term CURRENTLY here because, in my experience, such a case often unfolds a bit differently than one involving a PAST issue such as a war trauma, death of a loved one, guilt over a past action and so on.
- Relieving Juleus' fears: Monique Chapman, mother of eleven year old Juleus, wrote this message about her son's journey after being attacked by a dog. He was severely traumatized, put on several medications, and tried different healing methods before he found Marilyn Gordon and EFT.
- Soccer performance--EFT or coincidence?: Laura Campbell's post regarding an apparent EFT inspired athletic improvement of her daughter's soccer team may be one of the most important posts you will read. While one's physical conditioning and innate talents are prerequisites to athletic performance, every accomplished athlete on the planet will tell you emphatically that the emotional (mental) component is critical. There is a HUGE untapped market for EFT in the areas of sports, so if that sparks your interest, you can start with this article.
