Thought for the Day: "The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin." Mark Twain
Today's EFT Quote: "You may be interested to know that I did a 3 hour workshop for 25 people recently to introduce them to EFT. Towards the end of the session, I did a demonstration and ran an EFT Borrowing Benefits session with 100% success!! How good is that? After the first round, 3 people were the same and all the rest had a reduction in 0-10 intensity. After the second round, 5 people were at zero and the rest all had a reduction in intensity ranging from 1 - 5. I was delighted!" Carole Kinsey

Want to help spread EFT worldwide on a 2 for 1 basis AND get a tax deduction? A critical path to getting EFT accepted worldwide is to provide validating scientific research. Until we do this, hospitals, schools, the military, etc. will drag their feet through the academic cement asking, "Where's the scientific proof?" Academia is the gatekeeper to these institutions and no one is getting through the gate without the expensive "science key."
Fortunately, Dawson Church and Soul Medicine Institute is taking on this task and over a dozen research studies are currently underway. As expected, the preliminary results are spectacular. However, to complete these studies costs LOTS of money ... and the piggy bank is rapidly depleting. If you donate to this effort, your money will go twice as far as any other donation you can make. Why, because for every dollar you donate, I will match it up to $25,000. That makes each of your dollars work twice as hard and you get a charitable tax deduction as well. Further, where else can you donate and provide as much good as spreading EFT worldwide. It dwarfs any other charitable effort. Donate here.

Featured Article #1: How to create empowering reframes (seeing things differently) with EFT: Pamela Bruner provides quality advice about how to help clients "see things differently" (reframes). This is particularly useful when a client has so completely cleared some past emotional issues that they are now unsure how to behave in given situations. Email Pamela and Visit her website
Featured Article #2: Otto, the puppy had car sickness--but there was much more: This case by Martina Becher from Germany at first seemed to be about a dog's car sickness. But, as it turns out, Martina's intuitive approaches also provided benefits regarding family dynamics and limiting beliefs. Email Martina and Visit her website
Featured Article #3: Newbie completely collapses a fear of heights: Here is one of those remarkable "one session wonders" where a lifetime limiting fear becomes history in short order. Thanks to Diane Balsara for submitting it. She says near the end, "I am noticing that people who have done EFT, although they have a memory of the disability, trauma, or phobia, they have so little emotional attachment to it that they speak of it as if you asked them to pass the salt at the dinner table. It becomes a total non-event in their lives. Which is precisely the point!" Email Diane
Featured Article #4: Mary's gastric pressure had an interesting cause -- was this | really a gall bladder problem?: Our physical ailments can show up as metaphors for other things going in our life. Cathleen Campbell discovered this with her client, Mary. Cathleen says, "As we tapped through all the surrounding issues Mary visibly relaxed and we began to dive in deeper. She began to shift around in her seat and stretch absentmindedly. Clearly she was releasing the tension and even more importantly the stuck energy." Email Cathleen
Tips from the EFT Website
- Fear of Santa Claus: Join us while Steve Wells shares a spontaneous EFT moment that will transform a little girl's experience of Christmas."With only a little time before Santa arrived, I hastily explained the shortcut version of the anxiety/phobia treatment...As Santa made his way down the path...I saw this very upset frightened little girl run into her mother's arms. ... [then] we watched as Karen walked up to Santa with a smile on her face, accepted a gift from him, and even paused for a while to talk to him, smiling happily as she did so. "
- Loretta Sparks' approach to migraine headaches and pain: Loretta Sparks has had substantial success with migraine headaches and pain. Throughout her many years of experience in this field, she has developed her own customized approach which, thankfully, she freely shares with us.
- Responses to questions on surrogate muscle testing: Bruce Eimer put forward the following problem areas (as he perceives them) regarding surrogate muscle testing, and my responses are interspersed within his comments. Please note that muscle testing, although introduced as a helpful aid, is not an official part of the EFT process. You will see in my comments that accurate muscle testing results require an advanced level of skill, and can easily be misinterpreted.
- Getting to the core of "Mark's" anxiety: Seasoned practitioners are aware that anxiety is often a generalized state. That is, the client feels anxious but is unable to pinpoint the exact reason. EFT can often be effective in giving some relief to this generalized state but often does its job most elegantly when the true cause can be found. Dr. Carol Look provides us with an insightful look at this process as she applies it to "Mark," a seasoned EFT practitioner who reported an uncomfortable level of anxiety since the September 11, 2001 tragedies. As usual, Carol's quality languaging is worth studying.

Several short examples including: Fear of flying, Halloween costume fear, Fear of ocean waves, A baby about to cry, Broken leg pain, Student/Teacher friction, Upset student: Here are seven quick stories of EFT success in a variety of situations, taken from the earlier collections when EFT was just getting started. As we have seen, EFT continues to provide impressive results for these and an ever-expanding list of other issues.
- Problems that are difficult to assess in the here and now: Member Mark Van Ommeren from Nepal asks this question regarding the handling of problems where the EFT results do not lend themselves to immediate evaluation. My response follows his post, and I have included some input from a few other members as well.
- Re-evaluating the Apex problem: For those to whom this is a new term, the Apex Problem is a name given by Dr. Roger Callahan to the seemingly strange notion that many clients don't give credit to the tapping procedures for their results. Instead, they tend to "explain it away" or ignore its impact almost as though it didn't happen. Here, we take a look at a reason for that reaction.

More short examples including: Homesickness, Nervousness about exams & grade improvement, Nightmares after witnessing a rape and shooting, Performance anxiety, Ear pain on an airplane.: Here are five quick stories of EFT success in a variety of situations, taken from the earlier collections when EFT was just getting started. As we have seen, EFT continues to provide impressive results for these and an ever-expanding list of other issues.
- Stuttering child: In this brief story, Linda Hamm shows not only that EFT can provide quick results for a child who stutters, but more importantly, that when it comes back, there is no need to be discouraged.
