Featured Article #4: The many benefits of EFT circles--and how to do them: A big thank you to Sonya Sophia Illig for elaborating on the use of EFT Circles. Many benefits here for all concerned. She says, "I don't run ads for my practice and am often booked a month and a half in advance for as many 90 min sessions as I choose to do. This is due in large part to the EFT circles. The circle provides a demonstration of the power of EFT (the power of love, acceptance and forgiveness applied to everything). The circles also give new and prospective clients a chance to witness other real people using EFT with great success. They get to see that it is not just me, the practitioner, who believes in this modality. It is win-win for us all!" Email Sonya and Visit her website

- Drowning related trauma relief for a 9 year old boy: Those of us with extended EFT experience have many stories to tell--some of which are particularly heartwarming and stand out above the rest. Such is the case with Tom Altaffer, an experienced veteran in this field, who shares with us a life changing trauma relief for a young boy.
- For parents--using EFT with your own children: Steve Wells provides an important slant for parents who apply EFT to their children. As often occurs, a parent has his/her own frustration/emotion over the child's issue. This can aggravate the problem and create resistance from the child. Solution? Parents should tap themselves first.
- The movie technique--a tool for being specific: Previously I have emphasized the importance of addressing specific events rather than global issues. This can often spell the difference between apparent failure and dramatic success. Even though the concept is easy to understand, some newcomers have difficulty putting it into practice. Fortunately, there is a tool that greatly simplifies this important task. I call it the "Movie Technique"
- For thoughts on how best to learn EFT see Should I learn EFT via the EFT Manual, a workshop, the EFT videos...or all of them?
- A client resolves lifetime anger on her own: This thoughtful article by Mair Llewellyn-Edwards of the UK illustrates a client's choice to use EFT for both herself and her family for long standing anger issues. The client's Grandmother sums it up by saying, "I now no longer blame others or myself, tapping has let me let go". Please note the client's use of our "Borrowing Benefits" technique.
- Calming down Teddy, an emotionally disturbed boy.: A special thank you to Ann Adams for sharing her experience with Teddy. This emotionally disturbed 11 year old boy, and many youngsters like him, are particularly challenging. They require extra levels of skill, rapport and caring and Ann's abilities in this regard are evident in the story. You might also appreciate that the entire session with Teddy took less than 20 minutes.
- Aspects: On many occasions, you need only apply one or two rounds of EFT to a specific event in order for its emotional intensity to vanish forever. Sometimes, however, even after you have made professional efforts to tap on specific events, the client still reports the problem as "no better." There are a few possibilities here but one of the most common causes is that the client is "shifting to different aspects."
- Using EFT to self-calm an intense anger tantrum: Ann Adams gives us another look at the use of EFT inside the residential facility for Severely Emotionally Disturbed children where she works. This is a simple case--very direct and very obvious--and therein lies its importance. Often, all we have to do is get the client to tap. You will appreciate Ann's creativity in this regard.
- EFT in schools: When was the last time you said thank you to a hero?: Our schools need us--and we need them. In fact, schools may be the entryway by which EFT's public recognition will escalate. A big thank you to Sandy Sperry, Director of Prevention Services for the Peoria Unified School District for sowing an EFT seed that will likely sprout into a bountiful garden for our youth. It takes someone with Sandy's dedication to plant this "strange but wondrous thing" within the politics and diverse opinions of academic soil.
