Thought for the Day: "Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye." H. Jackson Browne, Jr.
Today's EFT Quote: "This is blowing my mind. EFT has already helped dozens of my patients get rid of anxiety, addictions, pain, even one boy with asthma has partially cleared. I see about 15 patients a day, and I am trying it for nearly everything." Tracy Clark, MD
Today's Helpful Hint: Sometimes, after successfully handled emotional issues, new EFT clients will "mis-report" their 0-10 intensity rating . They may report a 3 or 4 when, in fact, they are at zero. This is because they don't really believe it is gone. Subconsciously they think "maybe it will come back tomorrow" or "it couldn't have gone away that fast so there must be something left." In such a case I may ask, "How do you know you are a 3 or a 4." Typically, they don't have an answer (because there isn't one). I then ask,"How do you know you aren't at zero." This usually switches on the light bulb and they conclude they are, indeed, at zero.

Featured Article #1: "Even though this pain can't live in the face of love...": I am impressed by the many creative EFT approaches people use to collapse otherwise "impossible" pain ... and this article by Al Rodee is no exception. Note how his intuition kicked in to develop the missing piece in completing this pain relief. Email Al and Visit his website
Featured Article #2: EFT helps release nervousness before an important meeting: This is a major use for EFT. Many people suffer from the "pre-meeting jitters" and Sharon Elaine is no exception. She gives us a detailed description of how she collapsed this important issue and was shocked at how calm she felt when the dreaded meeting actually occurred. Email Sharon
Featured Article #3: EFT eliminates fear of flying--an excellent study in aspects: The fear of flying often fades quickly with EFT. However, in this case by Charmaine Campbell (from Canada), a whole series of aspects showed up to complicate the process. Please pay attention to how she keeps testing to see if the result is complete. Very well done. Email Charmaine
Featured Article #4: TAPPING – 7 Great Ways to Improve Your EFT Sessions: Spend time with these helpful ideas from Irene Pizzie of the UK. The are useful for both seasoned EFT'ers and newbies. Email Irene and Visit her website
Past Articles from the EFT Website
- Anxiety and the fear of being alone: In the case below, Gwenn Bonnell's anxious client comes in complaining of a physical issue (pain in her side). After that subsides, several traumas and anxiety prone issues come to the surface. As you will see, Gwenn takes these apart and EFT's them individually throughout a long session. The client exhibits impressive relief even after Gwenn tests the results by running mental "movies" of the events. Despite these tests, the old emotional reactions are nowhere to be found. I think you will find this case widely applicable to many people.
- Anger case history from a client: Here are some thoughts regarding EFT and anger as shared with us by someone on the receiving end of this technique, a client. He chooses to be anonymous. I extend a thank you for his insightful words.
- EFT and severe mental illness--a murderous impulse: Dr. Patricia Carrington outlines for us in great detail a case of hers regarding a man who was previously diagnosed as having paranoid schizophrenia. While EFT appeared to readily resolve an anger issue regarding his daughter, it also appeared to "open the door" for a decision to murder a co-worker. While no one was actually harmed and it is difficult to say just how, if at all, EFT actually opened the door, this case merits our attention. It is particularly appropriate for professionals who deal with this very small percentage of our society.
- Getting over a gang rape--including a follow-up: Ellen Simes' client was gang raped and, of course, held within her all the anger and related emotions that go with that experience. Ellen is well studied in EFT and, as you might expect, separated out many aspects for tapping. As you will see, this one session allowed the client to travel a long way down the road to resolution.
- A client talks about her abusive childhood and her relief via EFT: We owe major appreciation to Pat Gurnick for sharing with us her recent experience as an EFT client. She lived through a childhood so abusive that most of us would avoid discussing it, let alone experiencing it. It approached ritual abuse in its severity. The key word in this leg of Pat's healing journey is forgiveness. As you will see, she has every reason to hold within herself mountains of anger and other hateful emotions. This is normal--par for the course--we all do it. It is an "inside job" which harms us until we can truly let it go--until we can be free of it and forgive.
- Asthma and a dancing injury: Please pay particular attention to this contribution by Sandi Radomski. Sandi is a seasoned pro at these procedures and has been using them almost from the beginning. She shares with us some rapid relief experienced by children--some of it done through intentional tapping (i.e. tapping via imagination only).
- Dyslexia and other things: While in Denver recently I had many one-on-one sessions with participants at the conference. Lynn West was one of them. We worked successfully on a number of issues, one of which was dyslexia. I think we spent 15 or 20 minutes on it altogether. Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities, represents yet another virtually untouched field for applying EFT. With Lynn's permission, I am posting her informative letter about it.
- Allergic reaction subsides on Prime Time German TV: I was fortunate to meet Joachim Schubert, a multi-lingual EFT'er, during a Florida Borrowing Benefits workshop that I conducted several months ago. He is a student of Gwenn Bonnell's (of Fort Lauderdale, Florida) and has an EFT practice in Miami Beach, Florida.
- Step by step through a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder case: Professionals and dedicated EFT students should find much to study in this detailed excursion through a complicated Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) case by Dr. Alexander Lees (from Canada). First, Alex develops the traumatic incident in detail as well as the flashbacks that were still occurring almost 40 years later. Then he breaks the case down into the many aspects and specific events underlying the PTSD. You will find both the language patterns and the set-up phrases useful in your own cases.
