Tips from the EFT Website
- Using EFT to bring up core issues: This case is told from the client's point of view as he experiences an in-depth EFT session. Interestingly, the client is EFT Contributing Editor Dr. Tam Llewellyn-Edwards from the UK and the EFT practitioner is me. In trying to find his underlying issues he could only come up with a childhood memory that abruptly stopped at a certain point in the "movie." He described the experience as running into a "freeze frame."
- Using EFT with two professional golfers: Almost every accomplished athlete will tell you that the difference between an average performance and a superior performance is "in my head." I can personally attest to this having spent my earlier years running up and down football fields, playing baseball & basketball and running track. I wish I had known then what I know now about the all-important mental (emotional) side of the game. With that in mind I wish to thank Dr. Brent Thomson, who specializes in sports performance, for sharing how he used EFT with two professional golfers.
- Specific couple techniques using EFT: David Lake, MD from Australia gives us some useful techniques for using EFT with relationship work. He divides his presentation into 3 stages...or categories...so we can get behind the scenes with him and appreciate the details. Please note that part of these techniques involves tapping along with one's partner. This is a form of our highly effective Borrowing Benefits techniques and I encourage everyone to use it.
- Using EFT for Marathon Training and difficult things to do: We all have "difficult things to do", whether they involve public speaking, sales calls, childbirth, surgery or endurance events such as running a marathon (26.2 miles). Carol Tuttle graciously provides us with her use of EFT in running marathons. It is a material aid in her ability to compete well and finish this physically grueling event. As you will see, she uses EFT effectively while participating in the event. Feel free to draw your own parallels to her Setup phrases and apply it to almost any "difficult thing to do".
- Borrowing Benefits for a seemingly unrelated issue: A thank you to Dr. Carol Look for this insightful Borrowing Benefits case. Carol recently conducted a class wherein the tappable themes centered around such issues as cravings, body image, deprivation and the like. However, one client had issues (pain and a limp) that were seemingly unrelated to any of those being addressed during the group sessions.
- Successful use of EFT after a miscarriage: In 20 minutes Dr. Alexander Lees used EFT to help "Janet" to completely resolve the traumatic experience of a miscarriage. After EFT, Dr Lees tested the result by introducing humor into this otherwise devastating experience. To his delight, Janet giggled.
- I simply couldn't dance with Gary!!: Our Borrowing Benefits workshops in Flagstaff, AZ exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. The number of SPECIFIC EVENTS that were substantially relieved by audience members was well over 1,000...impressive by any measure. One of the highlights for me was an on-stage session I had with LaVern Williams regarding her resistance/inability to dance with me. Although our on-stage session was presumably about dancing, there were many other self-confidence issues that were addressed.

Erica gets a complete overhaul through EFT: Steve Wells from Australia provides an intro and an important letter from his client "Erica" that should both inspire and educate all dedicated EFT professionals. You may want to print this out and show it to clients who have been so badly abused and traumatized that they need a complete overhaul.
- Atrial Fibrillation, EFT as a University Curriculum, and a Water Phobia session saves lives: Three items of interest this time....First, Linda Pincus describes her husband's remarkable relief from Atrial Fibrillation by using EFT. Second, Tam Llewellyn-Edwards from the UK describes his success in getting EFT accepted as part of the curriculum for Calamus University. And, finally, Steve Burgess from the UK (a friend of Tam's) tells the story of how a simple EFT water phobia session ended up saving the lives of several people.
