Thought for the Day: "The definition of a beautiful woman is one who loves me." Sloan Wilson
Today's EFT Quote: "I love these DVDs!!" Lori Mitchell
Today's Helpful Hint: An easy way to apply EFT for some people is to have them tap while they talk about a bothersome memory (a SPECIFIC EVENT). They simply tell the story while consistently tapping the various EFT points. To minimize emotional pain, have them tell their stories in general terms at first and then, as they appear more at ease with their memories, ask them to get into more and more detail. Properly done, there should be a significant improvement, or complete cessation, of the intensities involved within 3 or 4 trips through each story.

Featured Article #1: EFT for heart arrhythmia -- Lorie gets herself out of the way -- 10 month follow-up reveals no symptoms: Even though Lorie Michaels helps improve her client's heart arrhythmia, her important message is how she "gets herself out of the way" for some profound insights and experiences. She says, "This probably took 20 minutes total - but it was profoundly moving for both of us. I could see with utter clarity the beauty of this man and this process and felt so honored and grateful to be the conduit for the experience. I feel that the main reason it worked so beautifully is that I removed my ego. I had no need to "be good" or "fix him". I just wanted to see him have some relief." Email Lorie and Visit her website
Featured Article #2: EFT for economic stress -- using "I prefer peace": Here's a useful tapping approach for the anxiety caused by economic hard times. A thank you to Nancy Privett for submitting it. She says, "When crisis is swirling around us, we may feel a lack of control over the outer events. However, we do have complete power and control over our internal energetic alignment. EFT is one of the best tools for maintaining that alignment. Without energetic alignment, we have little clarity and no chance of resolution." Email Nancy
Featured Article #3: A fear of flying case with a unique twist: We have many examples of how EFT can reduce or eliminate the fear of flying. This one by Eileen Sullivan is particularly interesting because EFT seemed to have collapsed her major fear EXCEPT for the takeoff. But why? Her exploration into this problem, and how she solved it, makes great reading. Email Eileen

- Puppy dog, wetting one's pants, stress & a "no results" case: Danielle Emel shares her experiences, one of which is a "no results" case. Often we can help facilitate relief even when we don't know what the problem is. I've done this many times with a roomful of people in a seminar setting. Sometimes, though, the issue needs to be taken apart--separated into its various aspects--and dealt with in that manner. My suspicion here is that the "no results" client was bringing up a problem that was "too global" for this setting.
- A teeny(?) and delightful success: Gratitude to Hilary Moon for laying out the details of her "teeny and delightful success" with tapping. Basically, she misplaced a cheque and couldn't find it until she tapped for contributing issues. This may seem "teeny" to many because, after all, it doesn't have the same punch as completely neutralizing a lifelong trauma in a few minutes. However, this ability to create clarity in our thinking has major uses for inventors, business decisions, writer's block and a long list of other "limits to our thinking."
- Spider phobia relief as a side benefit: With EFT we often get unexpected, positive side effects. We don't know the "why" of this (yet) but certainly enjoy these benefits when they come. Chrissie Hardisty's recent client gives us a glowing example of that phenomenon. He comes in for depression and, along the way, has substantial relief for a spider phobia EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO DIRECT TAPPING FOR IT.
- "Harry's" case and breathing suggestion: Dr. Eric Robins has a suggesting regarding breathing that may assist "Harry" in finding a starting place with his challenging client [OCD, no affect, numerous physical problems]. Often I find that emotional issues are accompanied by restricted breathing--typically without the client being aware of it. Tapping on "this restricted breathing" can not only free up the breathing but it can also locate or even alleviate related emotional issues.
- Taking the edge off of a molestation: During a workshop in a neighboring community, "Ginger" asked a question which led to an important principle within EFT--namely, our ability to "take the edge off" of an emotional problem. You don't have to go for the bullseye right away. It's also very useful when dealing with group trauma that occurs during hurricanes, earthquakes, civil disruptions, shootings and the like.
- 10 year follow-up on multiple phobias and dependency issues: Here is a message from Dr. Pat Carrington--written in her thorough, narrative style. It depicts the lasting power of EFT and, along the way, visits (1) numerous client reactions (2) multiple aspects, (3) the Apex problem (4) the value of persistence. You will also appreciate the crescendo type of ending wherein the quality of this multiple phobia relief was put to a series of real-world demanding tests.
