Featured Article #1: Lorie's TMJ was so bad she was willing to be a medical guinea pig: Here is an excellent example by Lorie Michaels of being specific with EFT. Note that she made minimal headway until she chose specificity. During the process of doing EFT she says, " ...and here, I stopped when I felt/ saw a little explosion of energy or light. I'm not sure how to describe it, other than a burst of warm energy right inside of the jaw muscle I'd been focusing on. And the pain was totally gone. I chomped down and wiggled my jaw and tried to get the pain back. No dice. It was completely gone. Talk about being sold on EFT."Some physicians may be interested in this approach, so feel free to bring it to their attention. Email Lorie and Visit her website
Featured Article #2: EFT after a SERIOUS jellyfish sting: Rebecca Snyder, a hair stylist from Georgia, successfully self applies EFT for a Man of War Jellyfish sting. Jellyfish stings like this can be life threatening and thus medical help should be immediately sought. But what do you do while awaiting medical help? In this case Rebecca used EFT as first aid and, as you will see, this serious problem subsided rather quickly. You will enjoy the twist at the end with her skeptical client. Email Rebecca
Featured Article #3: Success with surrogate tapping for a crying child: You can learn some surrogate tapping ideas from this article by Justin Hess. He says, "I did zero physical tapping. I simply used my mind to tap on the points. At some of the points where I had a loss for words to tap on, I did my best to put myself in the position of the child, and feel the feelings for whatever he was crying about (feeling icky, pain, sad, etc)." - Can EFT mask a pain to the detriment of the client?: EFT has an impressive ability to alleviate pain without medications or invasive procedures of any kind. But can it mask a pain in a way that causes further damage to the client?
- The results of Carol Look's eyesight experiment: In 2006, Dr. Carol Look conducted an 8 week study wherein over 100 people followed written instructions to use EFT for a variety of emotional and vision issues. This qualifies as an experiment rather than a pristinely controlled scientific study.... nonetheless, the results are eye opening (pardon the pun).
- Breaking down a phobia into many aspects: You will want to read this article by Moira Buchanan (from the United Kingdom) to get a good sense of how to break down a phobia into its many aspects. In the process, she helps collapse a very important SPECIFIC EVENT. Finally, and this is important, please notice how the testing phase went.
- Using EFT to avoid tears while chopping onions: A thank you to Leslie North for this brief description of her "kitchen use" of EFT. As she explains, "I was preparing dinner and chopping onions. Usually my eyes will begin to sting and get very bad until I have to squeeze them shut and tears start. This time, however, I tried tapping as soon as I felt the stinging sensation start. I did no EFT Set-up phrases. I just started with the eyebrow point."
- 40 year debilitating migraine--and much more--gone!: I was impressed by the professional approach Timo Kivio made to this pain-ridden client. The client's list of symptoms was extensive but, after an insightful 1hr and 10 min session, all symptoms subsided. Further, upon a 4 week follow-up, they were still gone. Please note the use of intuition, dreams and questions. Please bring this to the attention of your physicians.
- Using EFT Rhymes for children: Here's a useful idea from Don White in Australia that involves using simple rhymes to help children use EFT. This could make a BIG difference for some age groups. Also, while Don suggests a specific rhyme in his article, there is nothing stopping us from adopting a wide variety of rhymes for this purpose. Plenty of room for imagination here.
