Relieving arthritis by tapping on generational (heredity) issues

Is arthritis hereditary? Some people seem to think so and believe that it is passed down from generation to generation. Interestingly, Annie Bathgate helped her client receive arthritic pain relief by aiming EFT at this belief. Her article is a beginning look at this process. I am persuaded that tapping on these beliefs in even greater detail may bring relief to many "genetically caused" serious diseases.

Arthritis is a painful and frustrating diagnosis for many in our society today. Odds are that the doctors say that if your mother had arthritis then of course you will also. However, EFT really likes to break the rules of what we have to experience in our bodies. My clients have seen incredible relief when clearing any generational beliefs about arthritis. This process can really assist in relieving swelling and pain.
One client of mine has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, a common form of arthritis that can be traced through genetics, often through the female side of the family. This is a very important concept to remember when working with clients with arthritis. My client had pain and swelling in her left hand and was barely able to squeeze her fingers into a fist without pain. She said the pain level was at about 4 on a scale of 0 to 10, at the current moment. When we did a few rounds of general tapping on the EFT, she did not feel any difference or change in the pain level in her hand.
This is always where persistence takes center stage. If I’m ever stuck in wondering why the EFT didn’t work, I find that just by talking to my client about their situation, the answer will generally present itself. We talked a little bit about arthritis and what it means to her and what she thinks of when she thinks about it. She mentioned that her mother and grandmother also had severe arthritis. What an interesting link that I thought was worth a round of EFT! We tapped: Even though my mother and grandmother had arthritis…
After one round, the pain had lessened to a 2 out of 10. After an additional round, the pain was between a 0-1 out of 10. I have seen this client since for several sessions and I am continually amazed at the new fluidity of her hands as she waves goodbye to me after our sessions.
