I really like this article by Adi Assodri from Israel. The issue ... disgust at having to handle wet hair ... is unusual and not many people suffer from it. However, the principles apply nicely to disgust over ANY item.

I have to tell you the story about a friend of mine, with whom I did EFT recently. She is a mom, who raises her 10 year old daughter on her own. She had a terrible crisis, being mad about her daughter, who doesn't obey. Well with EFT I managed to calm her down and then suddenly she said: "you know when I wash the floor and I have to pick up wet hair I feel like vomiting or as if a hair is stuck in my throat and I am pulling it out!”
She said that she has to wash her hands first, then she puts on gloves and only after that she manages to touch the wet hair and throw it out. That all happens with a horrible feeling of disgust! Well, I said to myself, that’s a good one for treating and checking results on the spot! I took her to the sink, found some hair, soaked it in water, and left it in there. I used the words like:
Even though only looking on this wet hair makes me feel like throwing up…
Even though maybe in the past a hair was stuck in my throat (she didn't remember) and that's the reason I feel like that…
Even though I feel yuck, yuck yuck...
After a while she took the hair out with her bare hands - not with great pleasure but who does? But ok for her.
Several days went by and then she told me the funniest story about the ways EFT is working. She had to wash her floor again and at the end there were a lot of wet hairs on the cloth. She took them with her bare hands and threw them out not thinking anything bad! The second after she did it she realized what she just did and was shocked! "How could I do this without the usual ceremony? Am I mad or what? I don't feel like vomiting or like hair stuck in my throat!" She didn't even remember that we did EFT on this. A couple of hours later she remembered. Since then, she is one of the best promoters for EFT!
Gary, EFT amazes me every time! Even though you can't always see the immediate relief after a session, it works nevertheless!
