Headache relief over the phone

Note: This article assumes you have a working knowledge of EFT. Newcomers can still learn from it but are advised to get our Free EFT Get Started Package or our Affordable DVDs for a more complete understanding. For more, read our EFT Info and Disclaimer Document

Hi Everyone,

I have lost count of the number of pains (including headaches) that EFT'ers have relieved over the phone. I estimate that it is in the tens of thousands. Jim Burdick gives us yet more examples of this and includes a clever way to do it.

Hugs, Gary

Hi Gary,

I have a counseling practice and started with EFT a year ago with your DVDs.  Through diligent study and practice I am making great strides.  A couple of months ago I discovered that I am an energy conduit rather than an energy source.

GC COMMENT: In my experience, everyone is an energy conduit AND an energy source.

Since then I no longer tap for people's pain, rather I place my hand on their area of pain or have them place their hand on it if it is more socially acceptable while placing my hand on their arm.  I ask them to close their eyes and think about the pain statement that I give them i.e. "This aching back."  Meanwhile I look at their face and mentally tap on their EFT meridians.  My success rate has improved from about 70% to nearly 100%.

GC COMMENT: Good work. Many EFT'ers successfully do versions of this and I encourage people to experiment along these lines.

Recently I saw a client for depression and all the things that go with having her boyfriend drop her without explanation.  The day after our session she told me on the phone that she had a  headache since the session.  I offered to work with her on the phone even though I had never done so.  She agreed so I told her to place her hand on the pain in her temple and imagine me touching her arm while thinking about the pain.  Meanwhile I placed my hand on my temple and imagined tapping my EFT points.  He pain was gone in two attempts.

Shortly thereafter, my daughter called about one thing but also mentioned that she had a stress headache that had a level of intensity of 8 on a scale of 0 to 10.  I told her about my earlier phone therapy and offered the same for her.  In one round her pain went from 8 to a 3 out of 10 and after three rounds we totally eliminated the headache.

Gary, I have always heard you say that you need to get out of the way when helping people.  That is what I mean by being an energy conduit rather than an energy source.  That seems to be the primary reason for my rapid advancement.
