Baby goes from Screaming to Sleeping in less than 5 minutes
Hi Everyone,
Dawn Norton gives us this very useful story that launches off of our "Try it on Everything" motto. Sooner or later, we all come across screaming babies or other "impossible" scenarios. Don't forget EFT during these times. It could make the difference between peace or pandemonium.
Hugs, Gary
I was watching a 5 month old boy for a friend of mine three days this week. When she brought him this morning, she explained that he had not been sleeping well the last few days and he was a bit cranky this morning.
He was only able to have a short nap in the morning as I had to do some errands and wake him. He would not go back to sleep after. He was quite fussy and I decided to feed him. While I was warming his bottle, he went into hysterics. The kind of screaming cry that everyone wants to stop NOW!
When I was finally able to hold him and give him his bottle, he choked on the milk, which really got him screaming even more. "Try it on everything," went through my mind.
So I skipped the PR and just started tapping on him saying, "I'm upset" at each point. He did not like the first round, but each subsequent round calmed and quieted him more. And I began alternating, "I'm upset, I'm all right."
After three rounds, I tried his bottle again and he drank his fill. He started to cry a little more, so I did two more rounds alternating phrases again. I felt him literally melting in my arms and tension releasing. I looked at him in wonder as I realized he was about to be out completely. I laid him in his bed and he slept for 2 1/2 hours. Longer than he had slept at one time the previous two days. He woke up very happy. I was thrilled that it calmed him so and love it when I have such a quick success, even being so new at it.
