Bedwetting and a secret with God
Hi Everyone,
Sometimes all that is necessary to resolve an important issue with EFT is some "bullseye phrasing." That is, language that takes aim at the centerpiece of the issue. This can come from the practitioners own intuition, of course, but it often comes right from the client. In the message below, Mary Hunt describes such an event regarding her daughter's bedwetting issue.
Hugs, Gary
Dear Gary,
Many thanks for your help regarding Rachel's bedwetting. I spent time reading through your Palace of Possibilities and came up with some ideas. Last night we sat down (she's nine) and started to go over some statements that would be thought provoking for her. We made a list of affirmations such as "even though I shouldn't be wetting my bed." Then she asked me if she could write one down. I asked her to let me know what it was and I would add it to the list. This she could not do as it was a secret between her and God. Bingo! I thought and gave her the pencil. She was very distressed at the thought of me reading it and said that she would leave the room whilst I looked at it... it was a very simple line: "Even though I can't help letting it go, I am a good girl."
Her SUDS [0-10 intensity] for this was 100. She could not think in terms of a lower figure so great was her distress. We spent 20 minutes working on this and got it down to 3-4. As she took a deep breathe to consider her emotions she burst into tears. After lots of cuddles she went to bed. Now, for the last 2 years we have been "lifting" her 1-2 hours after she has gone to bed. Even so, she continued to have accidents in the early hours. Last night, I did not lift and she did not come into my room to tell me that her bed was wet. She slept through and woke up realising that she had gone through the night dry.
We are both in shock at the moment, I know it's only been one night, but I do believe that we have found the culprit! As you point out in your Palace of Possibilities "there is no end to improving yourself!"
White Light across the waters regards, Mary
