Surrogate (remote) EFT used to calm children ... or ... how to be a Silent Angel
Rod Sherwin from Australia emphasizes a very practical use of EFT, namely, calming children. Put this on your list of "Random Acts of Kindness to Perform."
There have been many example articles about how tapping 'for' someone can have amazing effects. Here's my contribution. I used to be annoyed by screaming kids in public places but now I do my bit to ease the situation.
The first time I did this was in a food court. You know the situation - the kid is screaming and running uncontrollably, the mother is looking desperate, and everyone else is grumbling or looking away. I focused on the child and, without saying anything out loud, I placed my intention on the tapping spots and thought something like "Even though I'm tired and hungry, I choose to be relaxed and calm" but I don't think the words really matter. In less than a minute the child returned to her mother and sat down with the family. I'm sure I felt a mutual sigh of relief from all within hearing distance.
Then just recently, I was on a flight with a very new baby on board who starting screaming during takeoff. I focused on the child, put my intention on the tapping points and mentally repeated "Even though my ears hurt, the plane is noisy and I'm scared, I choose to feel relaxed and calm". Before I even got through one round the baby fell silent. During landing the baby started to cry again and I repeated the procedure with the same effect.
I call this being a Silent Angel. I love to be able to contribute to others in this way. I wonder how many of us can perform random acts of kindness like this each day.
All the best,
Rod Sherwin
