Hi Gary,

I'm writing to you to tell you about an experience I had with my six year old daughter, Javiera.

My daughter went to the playground in the block of apartments where we live and I watched her from my apartment's terrace. Javiera has a friend and she told me that sometimes she plays with that friend, but she has also told me that when a third little girl turns up, her friend plays with the other girl and Javiera is left out.

On this particular occasion, the other two girls were playing and Javiera was sitting some distance away from them. At a given moment, she stood up and approached them, spoke for a couple of seconds, then went off to sit elsewhere but keeping her eyes on the two girls who were absorbed in their game. This happened over about 5 minutes.

I had a lump in my throat as I watched her failed attempt at joining in, so I decided to do some surrogate tapping for it, using the following phrases.

Even though the other little girls don't want to play with me, I know that I'm a wonderful girl.
Even though I feel isolated and would like to play with them, I choose to be calm.
Even though I don't know what to do to join in their game, I know that I'm a good girl and playmate and that God and my parents love me.

I started surrogate tapping in this way and after one or two minutes, the situation cleared up in an unexpected way. The other two girls stood up and walked towards where my daughter was, they spoke briefly and all three started to play together.

Just in case, I continued tapping for about fifteen minutes while my daughter and her new friends continued playing happily in the park.

This father's heart cannot find the words of gratitude for the wonderful gift that EFT is.
