For children: Using EFT with rhymes
Hi Everyone,
Children are a delight to work with but rapport is essential. Otherwise, you will lose them. Ariele Love shares a way to gain instant rapport by using simple rhymes for the set up phrases.
Hugs, Gary
Hi Gary
My most challenging case of EFT was bonding and relating to a seven year old little girl who was about to start swimming lessons, yet was afraid to put her head on the water.
This young girl was very tiny, thin, just a wisp of a girl and, after several minutes of chatting with her, she still seemed very shy and I was reluctant to start. Then all of a sudden I was struck with an "intuitive brainstorm".
I did the whole forty minute session in rhyme.
Now that I look back on it, I have no idea how I came up with many different sets of rhymes, but I did....
Even though I'm still just a little bit afraid to swim,
at camp on Monday I think I will jump right in
because I totally and complete love myself.
Even though my goggles are little bit tight
Mom is going to get me new ones that will be just right
becasue I love and appreciate myself.
She loved it, her face lit up and her energy shifted. Several hours after working with her, she said to her mother, "I like Ariele, can I go back Monday, I have other things I want help with!"
She likes me, she really likes me !!! (Sally Fields, Academy Awards Acceptance Speech)
The message I would like to share is...
Don't be afraid to be a little be silly, and rhyme
even though you don't think you have the time.
