After a few minutes of mental tapping, a baby stops screaming and falls asleep
Hi Everyone,
This brief article by Deborah Miller PhD, from Mexico, illustrates not only how to solve a common problem but also how to do it without physically tapping. I've generated peaceful resolutions like this many times for crying babies, back pain, sore throats and many other issues.
Hugs, Gary
Gary,
I went to meet a friend at her brother’s house. I started to talk to the sister-in-law who was carrying her 3 month old baby boy. He was screaming and screaming. He was so upset. She told me he had been crying for the last few hours from an upset stomach. She said her stomach had been a little upset too and thought she had passed it on to him.
We talked about making a calming tea for him when she stated that the child’s father was mad at his father (the grandfather). It clicked immediately that the boy was picking up on the anger and was feeling the hurt in his stomach. I started mentally tapping to let it go... It wasn’t his anger. He didn’t have to take it on. It was his father’s and grandfather’s. It wasn’t his. It wasn’t his fault. None of it was his. He is a good boy. He is loved.
The mother was swinging him in her arms and all of sudden he wasn’t screaming so loud. I mentally tapped and told him to let it go. All of it. He didn’t have to hold onto it. I mentally tapped that he could let it all go.
I took the child in my arms to give his mother a rest. I continued mentally tapping and talking out loud to the child. He fell asleep in my arms within 2 minutes. The whole tapping time took somewhere between 5-10 min. His mother looked at me pleasantly surprised. I could only smile seeing the angelic face of this child sleeping in my arms.
