Surrogate EFT for public speaking issues

Here's a practical use of surrogate EFT from Shannon Hendrix. As she sits in an audience she successfully taps for the public speaking jitters of several people during a "Sharing Day."

I have been quietly working with EFT on myself only for about a year now with some amazing personal success over connections with old boyfriends, anxiety & personal wellness. I have attempted to share the EFT technique with my husband and closest friend, but I can't seem to find the confidence to articulate how it works without getting a major eye-roll & tune-out. (That gives me a new idea for tapping!)

This week, however, I've had some amazing situations with surrogate tapping. I belong to a Women's Bible Study that finishes the year with a 2 hour "Sharing Day" where we publicly speak about what has happened in our lives over the course of the year. As you can imagine, with 500 women, much of the sharing is deeply personal and often the speaker becomes emotionally overwhelmed, which hinders the story they are desiring to convey.

Over the course of 2 hours, when any woman would stand to share and get nervous or emotional and start "squeaky talking," I would subtly tap the karate chop point and say to myself something general like, "come on...you can do it...keep going." Every single time (well over a dozen) the lady talking was able to quickly gain composure and speak with grace and ease while remaining sincere and vulnerable. It was such an exciting and beautiful thing!

I have a long way to go in this EFT process, but thank you for making the site so welcoming and user-friendly for the masses.
