Jack Foriska eliminates his own terror of highway driving
Hi Everyone,
Despite the compelling value of EFT for virtually every known human issue, many people often "forget to do it." Such was the case with Jack Foriska with his fear of highway driving. Then one day, he pulled off the road to take care of it with EFT. Here's how it went.
Hugs, Gary
I am writing you because of a recent article by Dr. Harrington on EFT and trauma - expressly, auto accident trauma.
Several years ago I was involved in a head-on collision. It was in a late season blizzard on the freeway. My friend John and I, (he was driving,) were in a Pontiac Grand Am, which is not a very big car and we were hit head-on by a one-ton flatbed pickup that was going about 60 miles per hour - far too fast for existing conditions.
The Grand Am got three feet shorter in a tenth of a second. Our seat belts and air bags saved our lives. In any case, it changed how I felt about driving on the freeway to say the least. As a matter of fact, I didn't do it unless I had to. It scared me s__tless and I could not shake the terror.
However, recently, I had to get on the freeway and was experiencing my usual level 10 out of 10 anxiety, (which makes you a high-risk driver, by the way) and went, "Wait a minute. Why am I putting up with this? I know what to do." I pulled over and started tapping the Karate Chop point:
Even though I am shaking and scared because of our accident I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself anyway.
Even though I am afraid I might be hit again, I choose to be calm and relaxed instead.
Even though I almost died, I didn't, so I choose to relax and drive with confidence anyway.
I went through the other points saying: I am shaking with fright, I am terrified, It might happen again, I could really die this time, etc. and finished with I am scared but I deeply and completely love and accept who I am and how I feel anyway.
Then I went through the points again saying:
That wreck wasn't my fault, I choose to be calm and relaxed.
I wasn't driving, I am a good driver and I choose to be calm and relaxed.
Feeling so anxious is ridiculous so I choose to be calm and relaxed.
I love to drive and I choose to be calm and relaxed.
I've always loved driving and I choose to drive safely and calmly now.
I am a great driver and I choose to believe in my driving ability now.
I am in charge here and I choose to be calm and confident in my driving now.
I did the positive round twice and changed a few of the words, but to make a long story short, I went from a level 10 to a 0 right then and there. I am driving on the freeway fearlessly now and enjoying it. I have had a couple of anxious moments in situations that remind me of that day but I just tap and it is instantly gone.
I can't believe that I didn't think to tap on it sooner because I drive big pickup trucks at my job everyday. I was spending half of my time at work in a self-imposed high stress situation and wasn't thinking anything of it. Wonder what that was doing to my health? Duh?
I am sure the work I am doing on these other issues paved the way for this immediate positive result, but hey, the bottom line is; this stuff really works. It's mind-boggling! What is really funny, I am getting such great results with the core traumas that I am dealing with; I didn't think this was a big deal until I read the article. I use EFT for everything. There is no limit to what can be accomplished with this miracle therapy.
I just wanted to share that with you. Thanks for your time Gary.
Make it a great day.
