Severe chest pain finally subsides after Kris Neyts locates the right issue – the EFT Tutorials are helpful
Hi Everyone,
Here's one for the doubters who quit too early with EFT. Kris Neyts from Belgium shows us how he finally finds the core issue behind his chest pain.
Hugs, Gary
Hi Gary,
I just have to tell you a personal story concerning some impressive pain relief I experienced. I think it can be inspiring and useful for many with health issues. Since a few weeks I now and then have heavy pains in the left part of my chest. I saw an MD for this and she diagnosed it as stress, most probably related to my frustrations concerning my current employment.
Since I first learned about EFT and started studying it from various resources (including your DVDs). I am destined to become an independent counselor with EFT, but the change of employment gives me stress. Currently I'm still doing the job I have been doing for a few years which provides me with a steady income. I must admit that I have some fears about giving up a nice paycheck and starting on my own in a discipline which is largely unknown or unaccepted to the public at large.
Nevertheless, I have decided that in the coming months, I will be starting this therapist business using EFT. I think I need some more EFT-related knowledge however before I can start doing this professionally. But in the meantime I'm having a difficult time at my current employment because I would like to dedicate my time more to studying instead of being at work: this frustrates me.
And this stress now manifests itself physically, in severe pains in the left side of my chest and my left arm, especially when I breathe in deeply. The first time I used EFT to work on this I had woken up in the middle in the night with these heavy pains. I could hardly breathe (literally), and no matter in what manner I tried to lay down comfortably in my bed, the pain was just there. So I thought, I have this tool EFT, let's see if it can REALLY deliver upon its expectations in a real life situation (I must admit that I was a bit skeptical).
So I started a few rounds of EFT, just tapping on 'this pain on the left side of my chest' and after 10 minutes the pain was gone! GONE! I could hardly believe it! Great result! Slept like a rose afterwards.
But this is not the end of the story. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night with this pain. I got up immediately and started tapping. Boy, it was quite a challenge this time! When I started off the intensity of the pain was around 6 on a scale of 0 to 10.
I did a number of rounds of tapping: The first round . 'this pain on the left side of my body' ... with no result. The next round . 'this tension I feel when I breathe in deeply' had no result and the next round, 'this tension I feel just below my left nipple when I breathe in deeply' ... no result - the pain was still 6 out of 10.
At this point I started to worry a bit ... how come none of this helps?
Would EFT do it for me this time? The next round . 'the frustration I get at work' ... had no result! Then, I tapped for 'the fear to start my own business' ... and again the pain stayed where it was. I continued with 'the fear to let go of my old job and the financial security' ... and still no results.
Then I tapped for 'I never relax and must always keeping going' ... 'I'm occupied in way too many things right now' and then, 'feelings of guilt if I allow myself to relax'... again nothing!! This thing really started to frustrate me now! Until now, whatever I tapped on, nothing gave me even the slightest relief from my pain! But OK, I remembered the words from Gary:' Persistence, persistence, persistence'...
So I started reading your EFT tutorials on your website again ... and there I found the answer in Tutorial #16 "What benefits are you getting from this illness? What would you have to give up if your illness went away?" And my answer to that question was... If I didn't have this pain anymore, I wouldn't have an excuse for myself anymore to call in sick tomorrow from work! So the advantage of having this pain was that I could call in sick and spend the day at home!
So I started tapping on that Even though I use this pain as an excuse to stay home from work tomorrow... After one round (one!), the pain was gone! Completely gone, no trace of it anymore! I tried to invoke it again (just to be sure it was really gone), but no - gone it was! So as it turned out, I just needed to find THAT specific cause in order for the pain to disappear. Any other setup-phrase didn't do anything. By the way, I went to work the next day! Persistence DOES pay!
Kindest Regards,
Kris Neyts
