Pain and deafness subside over the phone

I never fail to be amazed at how synchronicity (divine timing?) works and had 5 such examples leading up to my EFT session with Mary:
1) I have recently been 'putting it out there' that I would thank the universe for more abundance financially and appreciate attracting people that I could help.
2) I did levels 1&2 EFT over the Easter weekend.(April 14, 15, 16,) Learned the telephone method which I wasn't too sure I could get to grips with right then.
3) I watched Michael Gandy on the 'Ultimate Therapist' DVD's on April 22nd.
4) On April 23rd. I had a phone call from a woman (Mary) in severe distress who had dialled the 'wrong' number!!
5) She called when I had time to devote to her.
Mary was supposed to be calling her Mum, but had my number next to it on her mobile. I was down as 'David's Mum'. She was given my number by my son David some few weeks beforehand as he thought I may be able to help her. She had severe pain in her left ear, had gone deaf on that side and had sinus problems.
She was calling from her car outside her golf club as she was in such pain that she couldn't play. She said that she thought the symptoms were ongoing from January when she had had what seemed to be pneumonia, with coughing, breathlessness and tiredness. All tests showed that it was not the case, in fact no clinical reason was found for her condition.
I suggested that we start tapping and was so glad that I had watched Michael Gandy just the night before, teaching what I now call 'The Short Form' of tapping........Karate chop, Top of head, Inside wrist, Inside ankle. Given the circumstances, she was crying, sat in a car, and hadn't any clue about all the other tapping points. I explained to her what to do and we tapped on "Even though I was sick in January, with unexplained coughing, breathlessness and tiredness..."
The distress she was feeling started to diminish...10 ---7---4---3---1 she then stopped crying and was more in control, so we next dealt with the earache, deafness & blocked sinuses. She had told me of a traumatic childhood, alcoholic Father, physical & verbal abuse & the fact that she had married and recently separated from an alcoholic husband. Neither was her Mother blameless.
She had also recently decided to write about it all ......to get it all 'out'. Up until now I was using just "Deeply & completely accept myself" as part of the Setup phrase because I thought that she probably didn't love herself at the moment.
Now we tapped on 'The pain & deafness' .........8---5---3---1---0 . The pain then moved to the back of her head, but quickly came down to 0. Then moved to between ear & neck & was described as purple and knife-like in shape.
As this tapping progressed, she had a giggle about doing this in her car where she could be seen, and I introduced "love and accept myself"......she hesitated, said "That's difficult" so I assured her that if it didn't feel right, she could leave it out "No, I'll say it" was her reply. Good, I thought, she is finding her power. The purple pain came down from 4-----0 quickly. The intermittent sobbing had stopped and she was calm.
Her earache had completely gone, her deafness was much reduced (I told her that it might clear up overnight) . We couldn't get a score on her sinuses because of the crying.
She phoned me a few days later to say that she was still without pain, but though it would be a good idea to do some more work on old issues that kept coming up.
