Those familiar with EFT have used the EFT Setup process many times to overcome "psychological reversal." This case by Deborah Evans-Barry from Ireland illustrates its possibilities by apparently clearing the way for antibiotics to work. Early in her article Deborah says, "I asked her how long she had had the earache, to which she responded that this was her fifth week with it. She went on to say that she was now on her third course of different antibiotics because so far nothing had worked and in fact it seemed to be getting worse."

Hello Gary and Greetings from the Emerald Isles,
I thought I would write and tell you about a friend's experience with using just the Sore Spot. Jane (not her real name) was on the telephone to me as she works for a friend of mine. She was explaining that he was out of the office as he was unwell and that she wished she could go home as she had a horrendous earache. I asked her how long she had had the earache, to which she responded that this was her fifth week with it. She went on to say that she was now on her third course of different antibiotics because so far nothing had worked and in fact it seemed to be getting worse.
I asked Jane if she remembered I did EFT and that one of the things we are taught is that sometimes allopathic and alternative medicines might not work because we could be psychologically reversed. I went on to explain that psychological reversal can stop and sabotage us in many ways in our lives.
Jane replied "I'll be psychologically committed somewhere if I don't get some relief, the pain is excruciating and I cannot sleep at night either, I'm up and down all night"
I then talked Jane through finding the Sore Spot and suggested that she try rubbing it and saying the following each time before she took her antibiotics:
Even though I could be psychologically reversed and that is why the antibiotics are not working…
Even though I am psychologically reversed and my antibiotics are not working because of this…
Even though all the antibiotics I have taken for my earache haven't worked I now choose that they will and I accept myself just for who I am"
Jane did not tap on any of the points, just did the Set Up each and every time before taking her antibiotics.
Three days later Jane called me to say that at long last her earache was clearing up, by the second day there had been a large reduction in the pain and she had been able to sleep the night through without her ear waking her.
On the third day she was experiencing very little pain, just a small amount of discomfort and that even her face, which had been swollen, had gone down.
Jane contacted me after 5 days to say that the earache and infection had cleared up and that she had been 'blown away' with doing something that took a few seconds and yet had such a dramatic effect on her illness.
I replied "That is the 'magic' of EFT, we don't have to believe or understand what or why, it just works"
Jane responded "Whenever I have to take anything I'm going to use that EFT Set Up procedure. No way am I waiting weeks and suffering like that again."
I hope this article will help people understand just how powerful the Sore Spot is and how it can be utilized outside of a treatment/therapy session.
