Persistent EFT brings relief to stubborn hip pain
Note: This article assumes you have a working knowledge of EFT. Newcomers can still learn from it but are advised to get our Free EFT Get Started Package or our Affordable DVDs for a more complete understanding. For more, read our EFT Info and Disclaimer Document.
Hi Everyone,
Aparna Natarajan is relatively new to EFT and shows us how her persistence brought about relief for an otherwise "hard to treat" pain. I make a comment near the end that may add value to her method.
Hugs, Gary
This article is on the power of persistence. I started EFT tapping after reading the free manual, but a year later decided to get the DVD training which has stepped up my tapping a notch or two.
I develop hip pain after some types of exercise. The pain is highest right after I wake up in the morning; the pain creeps in while I sleep because my hips are not aligned. I had been to the chiropractor to fix this problem with the twist in my sacral joints 4 or 5 times in the previous year.
I developed a fairly intense hip pain after doing some step-exercises but the chiropractor was on holidays. I then decided to put my learning from the DVDs to full use. I started tapping.
Even though I have this hip pain...
The pain was about an 8 on a scale of 0 to 10 and stayed at an 8 out of 10. I did 4 or 5 rounds (full rounds, along with tapping on the Gamut point). There was not much improvement in the pain. I continued intermittently throughout the day. The next day, the pain was down a wee bit, but nothing significant.
I decided to take an afternoon nap on the couch, but before lying down, I did about 6 rounds of tapping -
Even though I have this hip pain..
Even though I want the hip pain to go away...
I concentrated on my sacral joints as I did the tapping. The pain was still there, when I went to sleep out of exhaustion. When I woke up, lo and behold, the pain was GONE. This was very surprising, because the pain is generally at the highest when I wake up.
Interestingly, I had placed my fists between my knees while sleeping. I have tried that before, and my hands always slip out while sleeping, but not this time. This may have provided the much needed support my hip joints needed and I was able to do it subconsciously. (Just FYI, a pillow between the knees has never helped, I simply cannot sleep with a pillow).
Now, the pain came back the next morning. I tapped two or three rounds while working in the kitchen, and it was gone. Then it came back again (same intensity of 8 out of 10) the third morning and I tapped 2 or 3 times while going about my business and it was gone. It hasn't come back since then. I have been exercising, but I must try out something that may cause pain, and see what happens - a) will there be no pain at all or b) if the pain does come back, will it go away with some easy tapping?
GC COMMENT: I think it would be helpful to also search for emotional reasons as to why the hips are not properly aligned. When did they go out of alignment and what emotional issues (specific events) were going on at that time? Collapsing those issues with EFT may bring about permanence to the benefit.
Lots of gratitude to the the EFT community.
Aparna
