Drugs and other medical interventions often bring pain and unwanted side effects with them. I've had many reports of EFT bringing welcome relief in these cases and this article by Dale Teplitz is a classic example. Please bring this to the attention of your physicians.

Dear Gary,
EFT has provided dramatic relief from the side effects of chemotherapy for several of my clients. One woman reported symptoms of numbness in her arms and hands, dizziness and nausea after each of her first three chemotherapy treatments. Then, after receiving one EFT session, she had no side effects at all from the remaining three treatments that followed.
On a similar note, I recently volunteered my EFT services at a summer camp for pediatric cancer patients from Children’s Hospital and their families. I worked mostly with the parents on their emotional struggles related to their child’s illness. I was allotted only 15 minutes to do EFT with each person who chose to work with me.
A woman approached and asked me to do EFT with her husband Marco. They were parents of one of the children with cancer. He spoke Spanish while his wife interpreted for us.
Marco has been receiving interferon injections weekly and was now entering his fourth month of a 12-month course of treatments. (The drug Interferon is used for some forms of cancer, leukemia, hepatitis, and MS.) For several days following each injection, Marco typically experiences severe body aches, joint pain, fatigue, and depression. They are concerned that he would have to endure these symptoms weekly for the remaining nine months. Marco had a treatment the day before we met and was feeling like every joint in his body was on fire with pain. And, he was exhausted.
A strongly built man in his 30’s, Marco was holding back tears from the pain as he sat across from me. Bent over with his arms crossed against his body and his chest almost on his knees, he looked as if he had been punched in the stomach. His eyes desperately pleaded for relief as he described the pain as hot pokers in his joints. He pointed to his whole body, including ankles, knees, fingers, wrists, elbows, back, “todo, todo” (everywhere) he repeated as he swept a hand from head to toe.
He was in so much pain I didn’t want to touch him. I demonstrated where he should tap on himself as I spoke the EFT phrases in English while his wife translated. He repeated the phrases in Spanish while we tapped.
We started the first round of EFT with the pain at a ten. We did two rounds of tapping for each of the following set-up phrases:
Even though I have this pain in my body…
Even though I have this pain in all of my joints…
Even though I have these burning pokers in my joints…
Even though the Interferon makes me sick….
After the first two rounds of tapping his face started to brighten. He sat up and looked like he had less pain. We re-checked his pain levels after each succeeding round of tapping. Within 5 minutes the pain went from 10 to 8 to 5 to 2 to 0.
Then we addressed the frustration and sadness about the Interferon treatments with the following set-up phrases:
Even though I am so tired and I don’t have the energy to do anything I want to do…
Even though I don’t want to continue with the pain from these treatments…
Even though I don’t know if the treatments are worth it, or are working…
Even though I’m so frustrated with this pain…
Even though I’m frustrated that I can’t do my work and take care of my family…
Even though I’m frustrated that I can’t enjoy my life…
By the end of our 15-minute session, Marco’s face lit up, and he seemed almost unable to believe the pain was completely gone. He was so grateful to feel total relief. Later that day, each time he saw me around the camp, he gave me a huge smile and held his hand high in the air making an OK sign to let me know the pain was still gone. He looked so happy and energetic.
What an amazing experience for us both!
