EFT for post-surgery pain--experimenting with EFT words

Hi Everyone,

In this brief article Karin Downs experiments with the words to use for her post surgery pain. It paid off because using 'operation pain' resulted in the pain vanishing.

I am very, very new to EFT and really only interested in it for my job – the original reason for signing up to the newsletter (may as well be honest).  However, in reading the newsletter I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.

In June this year, I had my gall bladder removed.  It was meant to be a completely easy operation, laparoscopic surgery, and a week off work.  Unfortunately, I developed an infection in the main wound and spent the day that I was meant to be returning to work, back in surgery having a 5 cm abscess removed.  My surgeon said he could count on one hand the hours I was away from organ failure!

I was in hospital for another week, then had the wound dressed for another 6 weeks until it healed.  When it healed I was relieved to say the least, thinking it was all over.  Unfortunately, I got the flu with a bad cough and got an incisional hernia so was back in hospital 6 weeks ago to have that fixed.

I have been in some pain since that operation so decided to try EFT.  I used ‘stomach pain’ the first time around and felt slightly better but still had pain.  The 2nd time around I used ‘abdominal pain’ with similar results.  On Monday I used ‘operation pain’ and have been pain free since … long may it continue.  And guess who is now a believer!!!!

Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it.
