A 4 year old girl taps on her mother after having her own EFT success with a bad burn

When 4 year old Mandy walked into the parent room of my tumbling studio, she was crying.  Her mother said Mandy had just gotten her knee burned on the exhaust of a motorcycle in a shopping center parking lot.  The other mothers thought it looked so bad that she should go to the emergency room.  I asked her mother if she wanted me to tap, and her mother replied, "Oh I was hoping you would ask."  Mandy's sister went on to class, and I took Mandy and her mother to a private area to tap for the nasty looking red burn.

Although Mandy would not have had to repeat the phrases for results, she cooperated easily and repeated all the phrases as I tapped on her.

Even though my skin is burning and really hurts, I have a wonderful body.

Even though I touched that nasty motorcycle, I'm an awesome kid anyway.

We did several rounds, and with each, I had Mandy measure how much it hurt with her arms spread open.  Each round brought the pain down, and we could see the redness receding.  What had started out 10 minutes before, as bright red and 3 inches across, became light pink and 1 inch across.  Mandy said it didn't hurt anymore.

I went out to class, and the next thing I knew, there was Mandy in her dance leotard doing cartwheels down the mat.  She was happy and participated with no problem the rest of the hour.  Mandy's mother never took her the doctor.  She put antiseptic ointment on the burn, and it healed quickly with no blistering, and never had any more pain.

A few weeks later when Mandy's mother was worn out from her day, Mandy climbed up on her Mother's lap and proceeded to tap all over her Mother's face, saying, "You're a good mommy, you're a good mommy, you're a good mommy."   It is wonderful when a four year old has learned that tapping makes you feel better!
