Hi Everyone,

Christine Danyi helps her client with a "stomach clutching" abdominal pain. Note how, in this case, she didn't need to look for emotional causes. Straight EFT did the job nicely.

Hugs, Gary

By Christine Danyi

Hi Gary,

In addition to my private EFT practice, I work for a major airline at a busy airport and I am frequently given opportunities to share EFT.  Sometimes it's a passenger that is afraid of flying and doesn't know about EFT or a co-worker that is stressed out.  I can't help but share what I know, and if time allows, to do a little tapping.  My boyfriend likes to call these my "Drive-by Tappings".

Well, I had a drive-by tapping yesterday.  I was in the restroom when a coworker, "Laura", walked in clutching her stomach and obviously in pain.  She said she felt nauseated and cold.  Immediately I had her do the hook-up for her nausea (Donna Eden style) and watched, as her breathing got slower and more relaxed.  I asked her permission and started tapping for the stomach pain, which was obviously a level of intensity of 10 out of 10.

After the first two rounds I asked her "If there were an emotional contributor to this pain, what would it be?"  She said she couldn’t think of one.  I asked her, "If that pain a had a voice, what would it be saying?"  She gave me a weird look, with her head cocked to the side.  I asked, "Does it remind you of anyone?"

"No" she said, "but the pain has moved; now it's lower down.”  It was a 5 out of 10 – no longer a 10 out of 10.  So we tapped 2 more rounds for … this remaining pain … this remaining number 5 pain … this weird tapping that Christine is doing to me … this remaining pain.  Throughout the rounds, she wavered between a look of disbelief and giggling at its silliness.  But at the end of this final round, her eyes got big and her look of disbelief was now a look of amazement.  "It's gone, what happened?  Is it because you took my mind off the pain?"

GC COMMENT: People will often try to "explain away" EFT's results like this. You can take someone's mind off the pain and reduce it temporarily but, given a little time, the pain will reassert itself if it hasn't really been resolved. In this case, the client says, "Is it because you took my mind off the pain?" and by that mere statement she is refocusing on the pain. However, it does not come back. Success.

CHRISTINE CONTINUES: We talked about the body having energy running through it and that we simply used the tapping technique to balance her energy system, eliminating the disruption of energy that was causing her abdominal pain.  When I asked her an hour later if the pain was still gone she said, "Wow, it is; that was so cool.”  Because we did not have the time to spend on the causative issues, we focused solely on the pain.  In this case, it was all that was needed to get immediate relief.

Every opportunity to share EFT, even if it's a quickie, is a blessing!  Thanks Gary!

Hugs,

Christine
