Demonstrating the effectiveness of EFT for Golf

Hi Everyone,

Dave MacDonald from the UK shares with us some ways that EFT Practitioners can effectively apply EFT to golfers.

Hugs, Gary

By Dave MacDonald

The following tests will demonstrate two of the ways in which the assistance of an EFT practitioner can significantly improve not only the score of a gofer, but also their enjoyment of the sport.

To show you the speed and amazing success rate of EFT, We will work on

·       Pain or stiffness

·       Putting or chipping

Pain Or Stiffness

It is accepted knowledge amongst modern medicine that many symptoms we feel in the form of pain are in fact due to an emotional response. Due to the speed with which EFT works, I can demonstrate how EFT can remove the emotional obstacle behind the pain, as well as relieving the symptoms. The benefit to the golfer of course is “a more fluid swing” (see Golf EFT Stories) and a more enjoyable round, with hopefully the added benefit of a good score.

However to directly tackle the score, we need to address specific aspects of the game. If we tackle a number of specific issues specified by the golfer (see Issues To Overcome list on page 5) then an overall improvement in score should be the result. We can demonstrate by working around the green

Putting or Chipping

Chose which of the options and select twelve golf balls. Numbering them 1 - 12

Go to the green and place the balls evenly around the hole (in a clock face with ball 1 at 1 o’clock 6 at 6 o’clock etc) at approximately 10 metres for putting, or 5 metres off the edge of the green for chipping.

Playing 3 balls at a time from different thirds of the green (or as listed in table on next page) and note the score taken for each shot. During this time you will be asked to explain how you are feeling about the shots and what is making it difficult for you. We will then work on these issues.

We will discuss your comfort zone – how good do you feel you are allowed to be?

We should now be able to look at the scores for the chipping and see a direct improvement. Translated onto the course, this would result in lower scores and happy Golfers. Here we have only tackled one aspect of the game, but most people have more than one problem area in their game. Each of these would be addressed.

I hope you have found this demonstration interesting and beneficial.

I have included an Issues to Overcome List and a message from Gary Craig (founder of EFT) about some of this issues that come up on the golf course.

Comments on Golf from Gary Craig

Hi Everyone,

A recent request regarding golf had to do with compiling a list of "Even though...." statements to use with golfers. I thought I would suggest a few for consideration. First, however, it is useful to recognize that golfers typically operate within "comfort zones." That is, at a subtle level, they feel they "belong" in the mid-80's or low 90's or whatever. You may be able to help them improve their putting, fairway shots, etc. but, so long as the comfort zone is in place, they are likely to blow other parts of their game and end up scoring within their original comfort zone. This tendency, I find, is prevalent in performance of all kinds--sports, income, music and so on.

Accordingly, it might be worthwhile to have a few "Even though...." statements that address a golfer's comfort zones. Here are a few.

  • "Even though I may have barriers to shooting in the 70's...."
  • "Even though breaking ________ seems too big for me...."
  • "Even though if I shoot ______ I would feel uneasy about being among the elite at my club...."
  • "Even though I think that shooting consistently below _______ would require more practice time away from my job and family...."

Also, many times there are unique emotional issues (writing on the walls--tail enders) for individual golfers. Some of them might be addressed by...

  • "Even though I fear my brother's reaction if I shoot better golf than him....."
  • "Even though I take out my anger at my spouse by swinging too hard...."
  • "Even though that little cup represents my inadequate feelings around Betty..."
  • "Even though I try too hard at this game (and everything else) just like my father pushed me to do...."
  • "Even though I think being the worse player in my golfing group helps me keep friends...."

Golf, as it turns out, can be a magnificent environment for emotional healing work. Many of the golfer's personal issues show up on the golf course.

Hope this helps.

Hugs, Gary
