Did Surrogate EFT help a singer hit the high A note?
Hi Everyone,
Dawn Norton gives a practical, spur-of-the-moment surrogate use of EFT.
Hugs, Gary
Hi Gary,
Since you are requesting experiences, I thought I'd throw in a surrogate mental EFT experience that can't possibly be responsible for the outcome(wink). On Christmas Day last year, I sang in a church choir. We had two "perfomances" with two congregations.
One of the choir members who is a seasoned singer with a beautiful voice, was asked to sing O Holy Night. We live in a very small community, but he has a first rate professional voice. I was horrified when I heard him speak before he started. A very hoarse voice. Well, he sang anyway, but as he approached the peak of the song, "o night divine" he chickened out and went for the lower note. I could tell he really struggled. I felt so terrible for him, that I knew I had to try mental tapping for him, since I had just learned about it on the videos. I didnt really feel I could tap in front of everyone.
In between performances he walked past me and noted to another choir member that he just did not dare hit that high A note and he was going to stick with the lower note.
So, I stated to myself, my name is Jerry (not his real name) and my voice is hoarse. I then began tapping all of the shortcut points in my mind for several rounds.
"Even though my voice is hoarse...
"Even though I am afraid to go for the A...
"Even though I may not make it through the song...
"Even though I am unhappy about this hoarse voice...
I felt the sigh, which I often do when tapping for someone else and hoped for the best. You'll really never guess. OK, maybe you will. I cant say the hoarseness was 100% gone (and from personal experience with the same problem, typically your voice gets worse each time), but he sounded much better and he did go for the A, sustained it, etc and I was so excited for him. Did EFT do the job? Who really knows, but I thought it left plenty to think about.
