I recently experienced a few hours with Roseanna Ellis and the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT); the results can only be characterized as amazing and profound. I am delighted to write this testimonial for Roseanna to whom I am almost inexpressibly grateful.
To explain: having now exceeded the “old age of youth”, i.e. 50, I can appreciate having overcome a pattern of undeserved, unprovoked and repetitive abuse which began in my early childhood and repeated into my 30s; the pattern showed itself in various guises in most areas of life, family and various other personal relationships, and in the context of education and employment. At some point in my 30s I successfully suppressed / repressed this “victim” consciousness and have now enjoyed decades of a pleasant, peaceful and fulfilling life. But suppression has its limits I suppose because the last year has shown “flashbacks” in the sleep state, consciousness and in life circumstances as well.
Something had to be done! I appreciated “the good life” I’d now been experiencing for years and was not willing to regress, but abuse leaves wounds which must be finally healed somehow. I had never discussed these patterns of abuse with anyone and refused to even entertain thoughts of them myself: suppression / repression by definition. Yet “something” had to be done. Roseanna presented her proficiency at EFT as that “something” far beyond any expectation or belief I had had.
Without analysis, therapy, “psychobabble” or “meds”, I am basically adverse to all of these EFT proficiencies that Roseanna helped vanquish and heal the old wounds quickly, safely and effectively. Memories of these patterns of abuse are now, quite simply memories, no longer time bombs as once they were. The pain, anger and stress are now gone; although the memories remain. I can now recount or entertain them calmly and objectively should I choose to do so, but there is no apparent need. I am profusely grateful to Roseanna for the gift of this amazing healing.
