Creating a happy future

There are many ways to create a path to a happy, healthy, more abundant future. One of the simplest is to use the New Behaviour Generator to create specific changes in beliefs, emotions or actions. It works in a similar way to the Movie Technique.

  • Ask the client to create a film of a situation in the future, showing things exactly as they want them to be, showing them looking exactly as they want to look, feeling exactly as they want to feel.
  • If they come to a “sticky” part of the film which won’t go as they want, tap on it. E.g. Even though I feel shaky when I stand up in that meeting, I choose to feel calm and comfortable.
  • Rerun that part of the film, until it goes smoothly and then repeat with any other part that is still sticky.
  • Rerun the whole film until it runs smoothly, exactly as they want it to be.
  • Ask the client to step into the film, into their own shoes, looking out of their own eyes and run the film again.
  • Tap on any parts that are still “sticky” until they can really feel as they want to feel and they can see things as they want them to be. Get them to check what other people look like in the film, how they react to them, what they see, hear, maybe even smell. Get it to be as clear and real for them as possible.
  • Ask them to rerun the film several times before they reach that event in reality.

 The subconscious doesn’t know the difference between vivid imagination and reality. If they run the film several times, it will assume that that is the new pattern and create it in reality for them

 To clear your own blocks to creating a happy, healthy abundant future, try saying to yourself, “I’m a wonderful, powerful human being and I can easily and comfortably earn £xxxx doing something I enjoy.

 Then watch for the tail enders!  E.g. I’m not doing enough, I should try harder. People like me can’t do things like that. You have to be really clever and work hard to earn good money. Rich people aren’t nice. People won’t like me if I’m successful.

 There will be a whole list of these and probably many more and the good news is you can TAP ON THEM!

 There are many different ways to deal with beliefs like this. The simplest is to

  • Say that belief out loud
  • Check what you feel when you say it and where in your body you feel it.
  • Get some clear information, such as size, colour, shape, rough/smooth, hard/soft
  • Tap on that feeling, e.g., "Even though I have this hard, red knot in my stomach  and it's smooth, I deeply and completely accept myself. Even though I have this belief and it gives me this hard, smooth, red knot in my stomach, I'm ok" etc,
  • Use those descriptive words as you tap the points: hard - red - smooth - knot - belief.
  • It's very likely that the hard red knot will have changed, either its colour, or shape or position.  You just follow it, in the same way you would chase pain, until there is either nothing left when you say the statement, or what is left feels good to you.

 If as you tap in this way, a specific incident pops into your mind, stop and tap on it, it's a gift from your subconscious.

 The other way to deal with these tail enders, is to consider who said them before you did?

Was it a parent, a teacher, a priest, a friend?

Think about them and check if you have a memory of a specific incident when they said that, or a time you decided that that was what they meant and then tap on that incident.

If no specific incident appears, you can tap more generally and see if one pops up, or tap more generally and use colour/shape/size etc to check if you are clearing.

  • Eg "Even though dad used to tell me money doesn't grow on trees, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
  • Even though dad said money doesn't grow on trees and it's likely he's just repeating what was said to him, I deeply and completely love and accept myself and dad.    
  • Even though dad said money doesn't grow on trees and he passed that belief to me, probably with love, as it was passed to him, I choose to pass it back, with love, because it was never mine and I deeply and completely love and accept myself and anyone involved with this belief.”

Of course if you find that you can't love and forgive everyone involved, you've opened a whole new lot of aspects and done some fantastic detective work, which will take you into new and even more productive areas.

Remember that forgiving someone is not saying that what they did was right it's saying that you are not allowing them to influence the rest of your life.  If you can’t ‘forgive’ try using a choice such as: “I chose to release this emotion around this…” As Nelson Mandela said, being angry with someone is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die. Set yourself free to be all that you can be.
