Tapping back your sense of taste when you have a cold or flu

Hi Everyone,

Here's a common sense use of EFT by Steve DeSanto. Note how he uses the same process for his son.

By Steve DeSanto

EFT often brings relief that seems like a miracle.  But a "one minute wonder" I keep marveling at is reclaiming my sense of taste when it disappears due to a cold or flu.

Now the fact is, I'm usually able to tap away symptoms of a cold or flu, but the one time I couldn't, and the cold plagued me for a week or more, I was STILL able to tap and reclaim my sense of taste within 2 rounds of tapping.  Great magic trick!  I used the phrase:

Even though my sense of taste has disappeared…  I might have also used: Even though I can't taste my food…

When was the last time you were sick and food no longer tasted good?  For the last two days, my son has had the flu.  I've tapped with him on numerous issues and gotten good results, but he still forgets to "try it on everything."  So when I heard him talking on the phone to his girlfriend and saying, "Food doesn't taste good right now," I mentioned EFT after he hung up.

He wasn't thrilled by the prospect of tapping for his sense of taste to return because he felt sick and those feelings were bothering him more, so I talked him into tapping for those first.  (If you're a parent, you know you're often the last person a son or daughter wants to take advice from).  At any rate, we tapped away his body aches, and the odd feeling in his stomach, and THEN brought his sense of taste back, too.

For MD’s reading this: Think of how tapping the sense of taste back in a minute or two could lift the spirits of your patients.  What a great little treat for them, and for you, as well.  You might want to have some cookies on hand to prove your success immediately.
