A successful case of using EFT for candida yeast infections

Hi Everyone,

Study how Karen from the UK aims EFT at past emotional issues, specific events and the candida itself. As a result, she makes great progress and says, "Well, that session exhausted me!  But guess what - it's been almost two months and not once have I had to use any of the medicines, alternative or conventional, that I had to use almost daily in the past!" Please bring this to the attention of your physicians.

Hugs, Gary

I am a 24 year old female who started practicing EFT recently and am currently working with a very experienced practitioner to resolve some of my depression and anxiety issues.  I've had many successes, but the one I'd like to share is an issue that I resolved on my own during a period of about two hours.

I have been suffering from candida in the form of recurrent vaginal thrush - that's yeast infections for the Americans - for about five years now.  In the beginning I would use conventional medicine, and after a couple of months my thrush would reappear.  Then it started re-appearing more frequently and it came to a point where I would swallow a fluconazole pill. The symptoms would then disappear only to come back after a couple of weeks!

I got more and more frustrated, and eventually I turned to alternative medicine.  For the last couple of years, I have been managing the symptoms with boric acid, coconut oil, tea tree oil and ginger tea, which all have anti-fungal properties.  I tried the candida diet, but it was too difficult, so I made do with watching my sugar intake and eating anti-fungal foods.  The thrush didn't disappear, but I kept it at a manageable level most of the time.

Some time ago, I decided to roll up my sleeves and apply EFT to my problem. I could have done it with my therapist, but I enjoy doing EFT on my own. First of all, I tapped on the symptoms (this has given me temporary relief in the past).  But I needed to go deeper, so I looked back at the period in my life when this problem first appeared.  I tapped on many things, but these are the things that stood out to me:

About a month before the thrush first appeared, I had had drunken unprotected sex with someone that I had feelings for, but who unfortunately didn't feel the same.  He was quite promiscuous, and when I first got the thrush I thought it was a sexually transmitted disease.  I got tested, and thankfully it wasn't.  But this led to a lot of feelings of shame.

Subconsciously (I didn't actually realise that I had felt this way until I started tapping) it had led me to feel that my vagina was 'dirty', due both to the fact that I had given myself so freely to this person who I had feelings for, and that I had put my sexual health at risk.  So I tapped on that, and also focused on any negative feelings I had about my vagina due to having thrush.

Apart from that, there was also a lot of frustration in my life at the time when I first developed thrush. I was in a place I didn't want to be and felt completely trapped and depressed.  So I tapped on those memories of frustration.  There was also a lot of frustration about the thrush itself, so i did a fair amount of tapping on that.  One thing that I found helpful was to tap on the fact that I had so much hatred for the pesky little candida that were making my life so uncomfortable.  So I decided to use the choices method, and said something to this effect:

Even though I used to feel so much hatred and anger for the candida in my body, I choose to embrace them with love.

After I had done a few rounds on that, I addressed the candida directly while tapping, and told them that they were welcome to stay in my body as long as they did not over-multiply and cause me uncomfortable symptoms. While I was tapping this, I actually felt some sort of love and understanding for the little organisms - quite a change from what I had felt before!  Lastly, I tapped...

Even though my body has allowed me to have recurrent thrush in the past, I know now that my body is strong enough to stay healthy and resist the candida overgrowing.

I took back my own power to create my reality and my health, and by this point I felt confident enough to actually believe that I could stay free of thrush if I wanted to.

Well, that session exhausted me!  But guess what - it's been almost two months and not once have I had to use any of the medicines, alternative or conventional, that I had to use almost daily in the past!  The first couple of weeks I went a little crazy on the sugar intake, as if to prove to myself that I had really succeeded with the tapping.  I stuffed myself with sugary things, which made me feel quite unwell, but no thrush!  Since then, I've done many things which would cause an outbreak in the past (sexual activity, washing with ordinary soap instead of special pH-balanced non-perfumed soap, consumed a lot of sugar over the Christmas period) with very few problems.

A few times I have felt the symptoms beginning, but a few rounds of EFT cleared them up - and it may well have been my own paranoia of the thrush returning which caused the symptoms, something which I tapped on as well.

Even if the thrush isn't 100% gone and re-appears sometime in the future, I know that a lot of the emotional causes behind it are gone, and that I will be able to manage it with tapping, should it be that there are aspects that I left out.  This has been my greatest success so far out of the work I've done on my own!

Thank you so much for EFT, Gary!  At times I still marvel that something so simple and seemingly "New Age-y" can work, but the evidence is there.

Karen
