Hi Everyone,

We all have "difficult things to do", whether they involve public speaking, sales calls, childbirth, surgery or endurance events such as running a marathon (26.2 miles).

Carol Tuttle graciously provides us with her use of EFT in running marathons. It is a material aid in her ability to compete well and finish this physically grueling event. As you will see, she uses EFT effectively while participating in the event.

However, Carol's process is not limited to running Marathons. You can draw your own parallels to her Setup phrases and apply it to almost any "difficult thing to do". As Carol states....

"I think every person should find something in their life they believe is impossible and use EFT to help them overcome it..."

By Carol Tuttle

Two years ago in I ran my first marathon and, more recently, I ran my eighth. Prior to my first marathon I had never run more than 5 miles and that was 25 years ago in college. For those who are not aware, a marathon is 26.2 miles.

I have used EFT as part of my training program to assist me in accomplishing this feat. What is significant is that I have used it the most persistently for the last 3 marathons which I ran within a 10 week window of time, between February 22 and May 3 of this year.

Here are some of the ways I have used EFT in my training.

1. While I am running, some of my favorite set-up phrases while tapping all the points are:

Even though I don't feel like running today, I am breaking through this

Even though I am tired and want to stop, I am committed to my goal and feeling better and better

Even though I don't think I can do this, it is only a thought and I am changing it

2. As well as using the set-up phrase to clear my limiting beliefs I would use statements like the following to support my body getting stronger. I tap all the points while saying the phrases:

I am grateful for my strong healthy body

I am a marathon runner

I am getting stronger

I am light as a feather

I am grateful for my healthy legs

I am succeeding at my goal

3. During the marathons I use phrases like the following while tapping

I am releasing the soreness in my legs

I am free of the fatigue

I am recovering quickly

I am having fun

When it really starts to get tough around mile 20 and I want to hurry and get it over it helps A LOT to use these phrases

Even though I am tired and want this to be over, I am focused and strong

Even though my legs are really sore and tired, I am grateful for how they just keep on going

Even though I have another hour to go, it is going by quickly and suddenly I am at the finish line.

Running marathons has changed me and my life. I once believed that it was impossible that I could ever run 26.2 miles. Next to giving birth to my 4 children it ranks as the most rewarding, spiritual events of my life. If I knew EFT 21 years ago, I know I would have used it in childbirth! I think ever person should find something in their life they believe is impossible and use EFT to help them overcome it, you will be amazed at the benefits you receive from doing this. EFT has been a valuable tool in assisting me in accomplishing my goals. I plan to run 3 more this year and to continue to use EFT in my training.
