Using EFT when having blood taken - even if a vein collapses and you have a fear of needles

Hi Everyone,

Take this article by Sophia Zoe (from Canada) to your local hospital or medical clinic. It could dramatically change the difficulties involved when drawing blood.

Hugs, Gary

Hello Gary,

Here's a very quick and successful EFT scenario involving me.  I've always been squeamish around blood and needles.  Last week, the doctor wanted to test me for something and blood had to be drawn.  No nurse has ever been able to find a serviceable vein in my right arm, so the left arm was used once again.  I hate everything about giving blood, so as she did her poking and prodding, I began tapping.  No need for a setup, I was IN the setup.

After what seemed like a day, the nurse said, "I think your vein collapsed.  There's nothing coming out.  Not one drop."  I was horrified - it had hurt so much.  She tried to find another vein in my left arm, but couldn't.  I had to go through it all again, this time with the right arm.  I had to pump my arm 100 times to make the veins pop a bit.  The nurse sighed and said she didn't think it would work this time, either.  (Thanks for the hope.)

Time for serious EFT.  I couldn't tap my karate chop point since my other hand was occupied, and I didn't want to bang it on the armrest, and I was too disturbed to focus on imagining tapping it, but I had the sense that holding the centre of my chest would suffice.  So for the EFT setup I placed my hand on chest and in my head I said,

Even though I'm terrified of needles and the sight of blood revolts me and makes me nauseous, I choose to have this be a quick, painless and successful procedure

I said the statement three times and then proceeded to tap normally on the other points.  I had only done the reminder phrase tapping on the face when the nurse said, "All done. That was easy."  I was stunned.  Four vials of blood in under two minutes from the arm whose veins are never to be found?  Wow.

I even did the tapping with the nurse looking at me funny and asking me repeatedly "Are you okay?  You must have a phobia.  Looks like you have a phobia.  Yes, I think you have a phobia."

At the end, I told her I was doing EFT - an acupressure technique that relaxes all the organs in the body and clears trauma.  She didn't hear a word.  I was dismissed.  Oh, the other bonus - no bruises.  Historically, I'd be sporting a purple disc on each arm.

Gary, you should have bumper stickers made up: "I love EFT!"

Or how about "EFT is TOPS" with the O crossed out, replaced by an A (EFT is TAPS).

Or, for crude tappers: "EFT works Every Frickin' Time"

Thank you!!!!
