Hi Everyone,

Here's some encouragement for newcomers. Give EFT a try on several things that may ail you and see what happens. Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

First of all I wish to thank you for all of the experiences you send. We tend to remember stories better than just facts.

I am very new at the EFT. Procedures, With very little experience. So I am going to tell you a little story about myself. About 10 or 12 years ago we had a year of a lot of emotional things happening to people and animals we love. Once a month for about 10 months a new stressful thing would build upon the month before.

Since I have what I call The "mommy syndrome" (I must fix and make it better and relieve all the pain people and animals I love are suffering, never giving it a thought that it might be impossible), I have a tendency to put a lot of stress upon myself.

One of the beginning problems was that my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. And we had to move her out of her apartment and into our 14X70 mobile home. We put her in our bedroom and for the next 3 ½ yr. We slept on a sofa bed in the living room. Now I have a tendency to say, "I can't stand" this or that. Example "I can't stand" this cold, Or heat, or situation, or what ever. Well, like you said, "Watch what you say Your body is listening." And sure enough, horrible pain settled in my knees.

My body Thought "since I can't stand I better bring pain to the knees , that ought to do it." And sure enough I had a hard time standing. I finally learned that my emotional stress settles in my knees. I also came very close to an emotional breakdown. At this time I was introduced to Health Kinesiology, which helped me a great deal, so I began taking classes in this and other alternative health programs (I did end up putting my mother into the Newaygo County medical Care Facility Into the Alzheimer's unit. She loved it from the first day).

So now comes the EFT. which, a client asked me if I ever heard of EFT before. "No" so she said to " look it up on the computer." So I did, and downloaded the manual. Read it and thought." This is too good to be true." Since I had learned a lot about energy Work I understand the principal behind it, but it was too simple.

The pain in my knees comes and goes and about this time it was bad again. Very bad. So I am sitting in my recliner one night and I thought before I spend a $100.00 on DVDs, I am going to give this a test. I evaluated the pain in my knees; (I do have a high tolerance to pain) and thought this pain is a 14.

So I did a round of tapping. "Even though I have this pain in my knees and all the emotional garbage that is causing it, I deeply and profoundly accept myself." I really did not know what the stress was, probably a combination of a lot of little stuff, and I didn't really care what it was, I just wanted it to go away. And thought "OK, maybe down to a 9 if I give it the benefit of the doubt." So did Another round of tapping. Had to admit it was down to maybe a 4. Did another round of tapping and the pain was pretty much gone. I could hardly believe it!! Needless to say I got the DVDs.

Sincerely
Gloria Andrews
