Gratitude tapping

Katz Delauney-Leija uses this procedure to start off EFT demonstrations. While I presume she eventually teaches the EFT protocol, this idea allows the participants to get an experience of the relaxation that is possible by tapping the EFT points.

Dear Gary,

Recently I have been giving free EFT demonstrations in at least three locations every month in my city in South Carolina, on a variety of subjects. I start each session with teaching "gratitude tapping." I have noticed how it changes the entire atmosphere and energy of the group session.

I start by asking the group to close their eyes and take inventory of how they feel and give it a number from 0 to 10. Zero being the worst ... should have stayed in bed, to ten being absolutely wonderful. Most are able to articulate feeling in the 4-6 range. After going over the tapping points we then tap on gratitude. A sample goes something like this:

I am grateful for my home and my family
I am grateful for all my abilities, to think, to plan, to create my life the way I want
I am grateful for my ability to love and care for others
I am grateful to be able to receive love from others in my life
I am grateful for my health and abundance
I am grateful for my life force energy and that I can consistently tap into my power and energy
I am grateful I am raising my vibration and attracting good thing every day
I am grateful for all the good and abundance that flows to me
I am grateful that I am healthy, strong and full of love and joy
I am grateful I am getting better and better every day
I am grateful for my confidence and peace of mind
I am grateful I am filled with love and energy every single day
I am grateful I am aware and in tune with my spirit and my energy

A sample for a prosperity group:

I am grateful to be me and to live here and now
I am grateful I trust and act upon my inspired thoughts and Ideas
I am grateful I easily visualize my ideas and goals
I am grateful I am clear about what I want
I am grateful I have such positive thoughts everyday
I am grateful I have such inner joy and peace in my life
I am grateful I am one with the flow of the universe and life
I am grateful I can afford whatever I want and need in my life
I am grateful money comes easily and frequently to me
I am grateful I am receiving money every day, thank you, Universe
I am grateful I am a money magnet I am grateful my actions reflect my desires every day
I am grateful I am whole perfect, strong, healthy, loving and harmonious
I am grateful I am filled with energy every single day
I am grateful I am aware and in tune with my spirit and my energy
I am grateful for my life and how it keeps getting better and better everyday

After each round of gratitude I ask the group to again close their eyes and assess where they are from 1-10. Everyone usually reports raising at least two points. We then do another round or two of gratitude using some of the statements the group suggests. After completing three or four rounds of gratitude the group reports their numbers are up 4-6 points along with statements of, "feeling euphoric, peaceful, content, quiet joy, high energy, and ready for anything." Not a bad way to begin an EFT demonstration!
