Laura Orchard uses EFT during a dream

Hi Everyone,

Here's a brief, but interesting, article by Laura Orchard wherein she found herself tapping (successfully) for a tense moment during a dream. She says, "Upon waking I had to laugh at how EFT has infiltrated my psyche to the point that I would use this tool at a whole other level of consciousness.  This was not a lucid dream where the dreamer is aware of dreaming and aware of being able to manipulate the outcome - just a normal dream."

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

I am not a practitioner, but someone who has used EFT on myself to address a wide range of emotional issues over the past 2 years.  Recently, I was in a situation that many people may relate to: I was dreaming and in the dream I could not open my eyes during a tense situation that required I be able to see what was going on.  The situation was making me very anxious and holding my eyelids open with one hand was not going to work.  With no forethought at all I began rubbing the "sore spot" and saying "even though I can't open my eyes."  The setup phrase was barely out of my mouth before my eyelids were open halfway and I was able to do what I needed to do!

Upon waking I had to laugh at how EFT has infiltrated my psyche to the point that I would use this tool at a whole other level of consciousness.  This was not a lucid dream where the dreamer is aware of dreaming and aware of being able to manipulate the outcome - just a normal dream.

Of course, I realized the message I was getting and have now added "not wanting to see certain things" to my list of issues to apply EFT to (while awake).

Thank you for helping us make the unconscious conscious!
