Hi Everyone,

Listen to how Elisabeth Clark generates a wide variety of benefits for children (and their parents) who had common fears about leaving home for 5 days to attend a camping trip.

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary,

I love doing tapping with kids!  It’s usually fast and empowering work.  If kids (and parents) learned to use tapping in tearful times, it is possible that kids could grow up without trauma, issues, and problems that slow them down.  Wouldn’t that be amazing?

My 9-year-old grandson and his classmates were going on a 5-day camping trip.  The kids were really nervous, and so were the parents.  I asked my daughter to call together five carpooling kids and parents the night before the trip.  I taught them tapping, and emphasized that they could teach it to their classmates if a problem developed (That strategy seemed to decrease the pressure on each child’s own nervousness).

They all learned it quickly, and were surprised to find they weren’t the only ones feeling nervous about being away from home for 5 days.  All walked away from the one-hour session feeling better and more optimistic about the trip.

When the week was over, 4 of 5 parents and 5 of 5 classmates had applied tapping.  The kids tapped on fear of snakes, fear of wetting the bed, homesickness, fear of heights, and fear of horseback riding.  The parents tapped on worry about their child, younger siblings missing their brother, and anxiety about how the trip was going.  They were all impressed with tapping!

I knew EFT had made a lasting impact over the summer.  One family had planned a 4-day backpacking trip.  As they were getting their packs from the car, their son started screaming, as he was terrified of the many bees in the parking lot.  His parents quickly got him into the car.  They stood outside, discussing complete revision of their vacation plans, because they could not guarantee there would be no bees for the duration of the trip.

Their son got out of the car in 10 minutes, and said, “I’m okay.  Let’s hike.”  The parents asked him what happened.  He had tapped on his fear of bees and bee stings, and was completely ready to go have fun!  His parents were very appreciative that tapping turned around what could have been an unpleasant family experience.

I’ve worked with kids worried about taking tests, feeling shame about learning disabilities, getting in trouble in school, and high anxiety just walking into school.  I am convinced that EFT could really help kids in schools as they are under so much pressure to achieve.  EFT is such a great tool!
