Hi Everyone,

Imagine how life might have changed dramatically for you if every one of your childhood traumas, such as a feeling of abandonment, was collapsed shortly after it happened. Dawn Murray from Canada shows us how easily this can come about.

Hugs, Gary

This will be my shortest article ever and it is one that is closest to my heart.  Last weekend our 3 children and their children gathered for a family birthday for 2 nights.  Our oldest son and his wife decided to take advantage of all the babysitters so went out for dinner and left their little 2 year old daughter (Callie) with the rest of us.

Callie woke up, her parents were gone and she was struck with an incredible abandonment feeling.  She ran to the door and cried her heart out calling, Momma, over and over again.  Looking back over her shoulder, she cried even louder with huge tears running down her cheeks.

None of our pleas for her to come and play with her cousins worked and we were all feeling rather helpless (just like her).  So, finally, my EFT brain took over from my heart, I scooped her up, set her beside her grandfather and asked if I could tap on her "magic buttons"?

I had not used this method before but my instincts took over.  Without hesitation and with her other cousins joining in I started tapping on the edges of her wee fingers, just repeating soothing phrases like: I’m OK now, it's OK now, Momma will be back, she's just gone out for dinner,  Daddy will be back, he's just gone for dinner too.  Everyone loves me.

That took about 2 rounds on her wee fingers and she was off the sofa, down playing with all the toys that were not even a consideration for her just seconds ago, as if the security of her parents had just magically arrived.

I must say all of us were suffering a great disruption from experiencing that.  To my surprise, and not until the episode was over, did I realize the rest of the adults had started tapping (surrogately) with our other two grandsons and myself for Callie.  There was a huge relief all around and Callie was unaware of all the commotion she had suffered.

Gary, from my standpoint, I can't tell you how grateful I am to have been introduced to EFT.  I have a huge client list for which I use only EFT with great success for major issues ... and yet it took me several minutes to use it for something so extreme for my little granddaughter.
