Fears And Phobias

EFT calms a little girl

Important Note: This article was written prior to 2010 and is now outdated. Please use my newest advancement, Optimal EFT. It is more efficient, more powerful and clearly explained in my free e-book, The Unseen Therapist™.  Best wishes, Gary

Hi Everyone,

We can take a valuable lesson from this brief article by Gillian Wightman from Scotland. It shows us that we need only to be aware of EFT's diverse uses and be willing to make important contributions with it. It saved the day for a 2 year old girl.

Hugs, Gary

Recently my family attended a late night fireworks display in our local village ... and were joined by a party of friends.  One couple had a lovely2 year old little girl.  She seemed quite happy playing on the beach where we were all sitting chatting, waiting on the start of the display.  However, once the spectacular display started the little girl became very distressed.  In fact she was terrified!  She screamed and screamed and her mother was struggling to console her.

I had only spoken briefly with the mother but felt we had made a connection so I was moved to offer help.  Plus we weren't going to get any peace, either!  She looked surprised but was happy to try anything.  I couldn't quite get to the little girl at first, her distress was so great.  I placed my hand on the back of her head, offering her help and she immediately softened.  I was then able to gently start tapping round her face points.  Within seconds she started to relax and her mother could feel it.  I tapped and just generally said as I went round a few times.

These horrible noisy fireworks, the scary bangs, all these people, I am so scared, I am a good girl, I'm going to be ok, I am ok.

In a very short time I heard a little voice whispering, “I a good girl!”  She had completely relaxed and started nodding as if she might fall asleep.  Although she never looked round to actually see the fireworks, she could hear the music and after each display section finished, she would join in with the clapping.  She stayed soft, gentle and relaxed for the next 20 minutes of what was an incredibly loud display.

Her mother had an idea that I was using EFT; she had heard about me from her friends, some of whom I had taught EFT.  But she told me she had been skeptical, it seemed too easy.  Now she was a convert!  She told me she would be making an appointment to come and learn how to use EFT to help her little girl with her temper tantrums and with her own frustration and fear as she was expecting another baby in a few weeks and was worried how she would cope.

I think I got as much of a thrill from this as watching the fireworks.
