Hi Everyone,

Psychiatrist and long time EFT'er Henry Altenberg, MD gives us this personal story that would make an EFT believer out of anyone.

Hugs, Gary

Dear Gary:

I thought you might find my personal experience of EFT for pain of some interest, particularly in terms of my reaction.

About 2 months ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, about 3 or 4 AM, with an incredibly sharp pain in my right calf (due to a spasm).  I would rate it at about a 40 on a scale of 0 to 10.  It felt like someone had stabbed my calf with a very sharp knife.

I instantly tapped for the pain, at a 10, and it immediately dropped to 5 out of 10.  I then without any delay tapped again and it dropped to zero.  Within what seemed like seconds, I fell asleep.  When I awakened at 8 AM, I knew I hadn't been dreaming, since the calf was tender to the touch (but no pain at all).  I then kept muttering to myself, even though I have been studying and teaching and using EFT for 9 years, "I can't believe this; I can't believe this."

I not only fully believe it; I know.  Someone once interviewed Carl Jung and asked him, "Do you believe in God?"  He thought for a few minutes, and then quietly replied, "I know."  So, I know that EFT can do all that is reported to be possible.  My only problem these days is that I sometimes come on like a snake-oil salesman, and my wife lovingly chides me to calm down, and not be so enthusiastic.

As you may know, I have been a psychiatrist for 55 years, and I am still practicing. They say, practice makes perfect.  If I keep practicing EFT, I may get up to the 95% effectiveness score some day.  Since I am now only 82, I am planning to try to convince a few more physicians in the next 18 years to try EFT.

If they try it, they might even like it.

Regards, Henry Altenberg, MD
